  1. Holiday time!!! Looking forward to your production burst ... in spring cleaning Need to keep the admiral happy
  2. Good to see you 'at it' again. Janet will love that fine powdery black dust you are going to make Even small updates may require a lot of preparation and work ... looking good Mark
  3. Popeye, I betcha he's past the point of no return already ... if I'm not far a miss ... Should have recalled that alcohol bit to ... used it meself ... dunno if Vallejo paints can be diluted with it though ...
  4. Michael, Thanks for the instructive video's. Looking forward to the result! Bob, Hope you don't build with balsa wood ...
  5. Some questions Michael. I would expect the carburettor much closer to the inlet, as I would expect the petrol spray/vapour to become more droplet like - when coming from farther away - and thus give less combustion as it won't burn as efficient as vapour. So why does it get mounted that low with so much tubing to reach the cylinder head ...? Furthermore I would expect the manifold to be off tubing from an even diameter ... the one attatched to the carburettor is smaller, and rather severely bent, won't that influence petrol flow ? Having applied for curiosity satisfaction, I must again express my admiration for your metallurgical prowes
  6. You only need to blow her up to real size Popeye ... she could just take to sea fishing, and for certain bring back a full load
  7. Kees, It could be the thinner reacting on your primer ... not the paint. Way to go to ask sailors for colour information, for on that picture I only could see black, ochre (yellowish), light green, and white ... The deck would be impossible to devine, same for the bulkheads. Have a steady hand with the airbrush! Looking forward to a colourful result
  8. The frustrating part is when I would do something like this it would look cluttered and messy. You've accomplished a clean crisp look ... sometimes hobbies are so ... painful on the ego ...she's looking ravishing 'maître'
  9. You've set a new level for scratch building in plastic Kees. Schitterend, truly magnificent, wunderbar, magnifique ... I'm almost sorry to see it end ... Lucky us you've a new project ready
  10. What's there left to say, if not to write ... it started out with a title for a post and soon turned out an addiction for most ... the end is nearing ... postpone it sailor!. You are doin' such a fine job. Love the latest additions ... keeps our expectations tense ... and our curiosity high ..
  11. I never realised it, but the rigging - as in rope - looks so realistic even at the scale you are building ... it is amazing. And again splendid detail on the gaf... like the contrast with the pear wood
  12. No Mark, pleaaase not jet ..... Let him crack his creative brain on somemore goodies ...
  13. Awesome Kees. The details bring her alive, make her more realistic ... Love the way she;s turning out ...
  14. To thought is like presuming ... the mother of all f...ormidable faults!! One shouldn't think, that's asking for problems Be glad you cut that ladder long, instead of short... I would certainly have had it the other way 'round. I like the new Ctrl + box challenge You got me excited again ... but that seems to be your specialty
  15. Grant, Well done, even without wetting your hands Glad to hear all went well and you will be as good as new!!! Soon you'll be runnin' 'round the dockyard again.
  16. Mihai, Good to see you up and running again. Your hull turned out splendid, even if you hid it under copper and paint.
  17. Never thought to go for dinner to a Greek ... always went for the TV ... Good to hear you had an enjoyable evening. And you even are working on that engine!!! Nice work on those inlet flanges, I don't know how you do it, but when I tap a hole the tap mostly breaks ... Splendid job again, cannot wait to see the next part!!
  18. Just stopping in I would say that with my glasses on or after a glass or what of whisky they would pass ANY macro view ... any whatsoever ... I'm so glad you resemble the comment ... I was afraid I would be the only sicko I have to remark on your faillure to rebuild all six ... a bit of a let down, knowing your perse-mewhatchamecallit. No redo I'll just need to live with the disapointment Looking forward to see the result, though, can barely wait ...
  19. Grant, All good things come in three ... I know whom to turn to to get my sawing done ... Good on you to take the step twice ... thrice!
  20. Igor, Maybe you can find an answer in this log: http://modelshipworld.com/index.php/topic/141-esmeralda-by-dfellingham-bottle-chilean-navy-training-ship-1640/page-2#entry53301
  21. Roather noice! The laft froam 's-vizzibel 2 mi ... I prefer the frame in between the left and the centre one ... Left is rather thinnish and the centre one is a bit heavy ... Believing ...??? KNOWING ... a kind of inbred certainty ... Deep down inside you have to admit it ... you love beer ...
