The foremast crowsfeet lines went better than I thought, some minor adjustments at the start and finish but passable I think. It is like riding a bike once you do a couple of crowsfeet lines they are not bad, I don't want to say esey in case I curse my self lol Kurt says let's finish this we got to raise the yards tomorrow. I love this guy. My good friend @Gabek made me these fantastic gifts for my boats. A light house for my Bluenose, Vikings for my Darkkar, and last and my favorite 14 ir 15 Adélie penguins 🐧 for this Astrolabe voyage to the Antarctic 😁 They look so good , Thanks my friend.. and thank you all very much for helping me learn how to build, if only I could learn how to use my computer lol. Kurt says over here is where the mainmast crowsfeet lines go, I belive that's a hint , thanjs for tagging along. I am having so much fun ☺️ Knocklouder Kurt ⚒️

The bowsprit mast is rigged , I am moving on to the foremast. Kurt says it's time for the crowsfeet lines, Pitter patter let's get atther. The yards are ready to go. The Bobstays were fun, especially the 3mm deadeyes lol. Kurt is turning out to be a valuable addition to the crew , likes the keep to himself though. I think he seen alot, knows alot about sailing and building. He told me we can make the ship's look good, it just takes time, to get to know each other ways, we will get to know each other as we build. Kurt is always looking for something, he telling me about a Swedish ship he would like to rig, sound interesting. Well on to the foremast yards, oh yes the crowsfeet lines lol. Bob M. Kurt ⚒️

Most of the blocks are tied on, some on the booms and gaffs , a few blocks here and there. The Bobstays are next, I must do the crowsfeet lines, maybe tomorrow, can't spend as much time in shipyard as I would like , but winter's coming. Lol. The plans are of no help but I have got all the help I need here, I asked a few people and I am good to go. I can feel the end is near, for this build, I just have to run a few lines and make the anchors and flag. Thanks for looking in. It's been fun. Bob.

The yards have their first coat of black paint and are waiting to dry. Tomorrow I will add the footropes and add as many blocks as I can to all the masts and yards. The crowsfoot lines are up soon We are getting down to just the rigging. I am starting to think about building the Harriet Lane. Lol I have cleaned the display case and have room, lol. This is how she looking tonight. I am pretty excided , as well as the Harriet Lane ,I am about to recive a Billings 490 Wasa/Vasa, depending upon how you want to say it. The ship just left Chicago and is heading north. . I just say wow, got a great deal on it and looking forward to putting a little Knocklouder magic to this build. But first a few loose ends to look at, then diorama time. It will be on ice and lots of Adélies hanging about. Thanks for looking in on the fun.,,,,, Bob M.

I have laid out the yards and booms, Rodney has the three lower main yards some what started.I found enough material to finishe the job. Now it is a matter of sanding and shaping them. Donkey has the crew over in the paint shop ready to go. Donkey has to have them painted before Kurt will let him come back to the ship. I will be glad to get the yard work done, and will be able to put the plans away ,that will free up a little shop space Still working on clearing out the bottom shelf in the display case , I am running out of room lol. Cleaning and organizing will continue, yards work will be painted and hung , it may be time to start thinking of a stand for her. I think I will put her on ice 🧊 😏. With lots of natural wildlife around her🐧 Should have her done by the time the sails are ready for the Bluenoses lol I hope, not asking her either lol. What a great ship to rig, love in it . Thanks for looking in. Knocklouder FFBI 🛟

I thought I was building a Bluenose or two... Some how I finished a Golden Hind, rigged up a couple of Bluenoses and decked out my Viking Darkkar with a crew of Viking, minus a helmsman . Now so excited to have the Astrolabe back on the bench tonight. One thing for sure she not fitting in this case. .This is Kurt ,he will be helping out with the building and rigging. I wondered what a Viking would know , about rigging a French ship. He showed me a list of rigging jobs he did as well as a few builds logs. Very impressive, so I hired him. We quickly spreed out the crew to see if more were needed. None need to be added, at this time, the crewman above is on the look out for the dreaded Adélie penguins 🐧. Below the crewman is in charge of getting the ship's boat rigged and tied on. Again so many to thank, @Keith Black, helping me out with rigging, thimble blocks it is lol. @Gabek, a special thanks to him as well, he has made my models come to life, and he showed me how to paint them as well, thanks my friend, coffee is on me. Lol @John Ruy, you have been so helpful, and your logs always show me exactly what I need to know , thanks so much for posting ,appreciate it emencily. Thank you. So many people on MSW to thank ad well. On to the rigging of the stays , this will be fun,.thanks for looking in. Got to make a jig or two,.but rigging is a go. Knocklouder FFBI 🛟

Foot lockers needed more sanding then I liked but once a Viking is sitting down they look cool. I have to check to see if I am really 70 lol. This is way to much fun. One is from the kit lol Time the chain up the brothers. Kurt and LK are off to seek employment on the Astrolabe. So with the chains on and the course is set, time to put her in the case, and bring out this little boat to finish rigging, lol. Thanks for indulging me on my play day, I will post one more time for the stern, I need a figure about so high, lol. I will Have to Wait, he is busy, no names ,no names lol. busy till Tuesday, I think we are going for coffee soon, I put the bug in his ear lol. Thanks MSW/NRG, and all who help me along the way. Ok back to rigging the Astrolabe 1812 🐧 🐧 Knocklouder 😁 FFBI 🛟 I just noticed, if I clear out the bottom shelf, I bet I could get 3 more models in there .lol. 😅 🤪 🙃

Last week @Gabek, gave me a hand full of Viking crew members and 3 Vikings builders. Gabe told me to look for free files to print from Thingsuniverse , thanks for posting these. This is what we came up with. The figures were black I primed them all white And began to paint them This is Kurt, he is a builder, This is his twin brother, Keith ,he is a lawyer and comes in two scales. The twins are taking the Bone-Hed brothers back to stand trail for crimes. You can see them tied back to back on deck, lol. We forgot about the foot lockers, so I will be making them up today. lol once painted they will be fine. Today is going to be a fun day, its a play day in the ship yard. I plan to finish this and put a case over it. First I have to make the case lol. ,it should be easy ,it only 20x11 by 11 high. Measurements in inches. Time to play, This bunch of crew is starting to fight over seating arrangements lol. Time to glue them on. But first the foot lockers. Bob M.
