  1. Yes I know, “button it all up” can sometimes take a while. But you’re a lot closer now. Bob
  2. Happy for you. Sounds like you have a winner. Now to button it all up and go sailing. Bob
  3. All your ladders are nice. The round rung ladder would have been more work to make and would have been a permanent ladder, whereas the square rung ladder wound have been nailed together for the job and scrapped afterword. Bob
  4. “It’s nice having the Admiral back home where she belongs!” Yes, that’s always a good thing. And now you’re building again, that’s also a good thing. Bob
  5. Thanks, nice sails. Bob
  6. It is good you found so many pictures. It will be a fine model. Bob
  7. Watching such a small scale build is always inspiring. Thank you for posting your build. Bob
  8. Thanks for the picture. Bob
  9. When I lived in Indiana the local apple orchard sold split apple logs from there old trees as fire wood. You might try your local orchard. Bob
  10. Thanks for the information but things have changed. The finished schooner will be placed where the admiral will see it all the time and she said. . . “I don’t want that other boat with the schooner ! ” Since I’m making it black and gold for her, I will not be adding the seine boat, for her. Bob
  11. Once again I forgot the scale until you were holding her. She’s a beauty. Bob
  12. Nils, oh what a lovely little boat. I’m so glad it’s being cherished. Bob
  13. I know you're a master machinist and builder but at 1:8 sale getting a motor like that running is going to be tricky. Bob
  14. "Does anyone know the secret of keeping the tub from drying out?" If it's a water based filler like Elmers, you need to add water periodically and stir it up. Bob
  15. Nice work. Thanks for showing them before they get covered up. Bob
  16. Thanks popeye, my friend. I was a fun build. But as we build we never know what others will like. Bob
  17. What? At your scale the 12" blocks would be .06" (1.5mm) Hmmm come to think of it, I wouldn't try it either. What you are doing looks great. Bob
