  1. Nice work on the masthead, John. And that last picture begins to show just how much sail she had. Bob
  2. I don’t know how much room there is behind the last seat on the HHR but with proper support you should be able to angle it between the seat back and the hatch door. Bob
  3. That profile view shows her lovely lines. What a beautiful boat she is. And you’ve done a superb job on the detail parts. Bob
  4. She’s really looking good. Love the ships boats floating in midair. And the stanchions around the stern. Fantastic. I find it difficult at twice that size. Bob
  5. I understand wanting to make the boat smaller and less fragile for transport, but 44 oars? That’s a lot of assembly and disassembly just for a little time in the water. I would rather mount it on a large, 3 feet by 3 feet or so, board and figure out how to fit it into the vehicle. I know when I was sailing RC I wanted to be sailing, not putting the boat together. Even my one meter was transported with the sails up. Bob
  6. Starting to take shape and looking good. How many sets of oars will there be? Bob
  7. Congratulations on a job well done and the presentation to the historical society. It was a fun ride watching you figure out how it all went together. Well done. Bob
  8. To convert: Dimension in inches X 25.4 = mm Dimension in mm X .03937 = inches Bob
  9. Ah yes $1.3 million. But that’s just for the boat, then you have the supplies and fitting out expenses. Oh yes also a crew. I don’t think I could single hand her. As David said it’s a dream. If I sold everything I have, including the admiral, I might (might I say) be able to buy the ship’s wheel. Sigh. Bob
  10. I was searching for a different boat when the new Ingomar came up. Thought you might like to see it. http://www.yachtworld.com/boats/2014/Herreshoff-Schooner-Ingomar-2612668/ME/United-States#.VB2VAfldXFE Bob
