Augie.... I think "you know who" and "others" are purposely diverting you from finishing your build .He mainly, doesn't want you to finish. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, he's getting his SI battle ready. You can read between the lines in some of his remarks that he's thinking about doing something crazy ( you know what). Just beware my friend, there's an old saying. "keep your friends close to you, but your enemies closer ", (well it goes something like that ) anyhow, be prepared !!! Your friend ( in peace and war ) Frank

That happened to my foretop mast also. I just cut it off at the cap and made a whole new pc. from the cap up , then I drilled the cap and pinned the new top in. So far so good still holding up . Hope your solution is just as easy. Frank

Sjors, very nice looking ship you have there, and you are doing an excellent job of bringing her up to being sea worthy, but I'm a little concerned about you and your balls....Uuups!, excuse me, I'd better rephrase that.... You and your "cannon balls"...... Is this an indication that you might be thinking about arming the big S.I. ???, or are you just putting the "fear of Sjors" out there?? Frank

Popeye, I'm a little curious........ are you by any chance involved in some type of " How Many Models Can You build In a Month " contest ?? ..... Man , you are like lightning when it comes to model building.... I noticed a bottle of meds in one of your pictures, they wouldn't happen to be " model building " pills ,would they?? ..... Your Half-Moon is coming along nicely... I don't know how you do it, but you do it!!!

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
