    I'd like to offer a suggestion. Rather than make those all one piece, make 3 separate windows of 9 panes each. I fear that when you go to bend them around the gallery they will snap. Here'a photo of one of my Licorne's gallery. Once the window(s) have been made they can be fitted and the wood between the windows set into place.

    Honestly.. you're doing a great job. There might be some issues, errors, that the photos don't see but if you're posting a log, and make an error, usually someone will offer a suggestion. It's not criticism as usually they spot a problem that they did and someone helped them out. I'l add that if you look through the scratch logs (the real dark side of modeling) you'll see the same conversations that start with something like... "Is that part right... I'm doing the same model and...."

    Hi Maury, To find a model, in this case a kit, go to the Kit Build Logs and enter the name. If there is one, it should show up. As for planking, go to the top of the page and you'll see "Modeling Techniques". Hold your mouse over it and a menu will drop down. There's a category for planking there. In that category are planking tutorials. I'd suggest opening a log of your own in the Kit area and as you progress had have questions, there's assorted topics in the "Shop Notes, Ship Modeling Tips, Techniques and Research" area on the main page.

    The only way I can see a difference between what you've done so far and the real thing is that the real thing would have sponsor decals/posters and pin-up lady on the walls also. Even the toolbox would have sponsor labels all over it.

    I recall many years ago, there was a series (on old PBS maybe?) that had battle reenactments using figures on a terrain board of huge size. Hills, trees, building etc. were on it. They would walk through the battle showing before and after movements and other important details. I don't recall Waterloo but I do recall some American battles (Revolutionary and Civil War) along with some WWI and WWII battles.

    Welcome to MSW, Michael. I'd suggest look at the kit area for build logs and also in the Masting, Rigging, and Sails area. If all else fails.. ask questions in the Masting/Rigging area.

    I just received my copy today. Very fast service and well packaged. The speed it came to me was surprising given the state of the mails worldwide due to the virus. Anyway, I'll start reading it and be doing a review as soon as possible.

    Welcome to MSW, Jan. Seems popcorn was mentioned... so... have some while you're reading logs, etc. and waiting for the model release.

    Even occupations one doesn't associate with the BFH (Big Freakin' Hammer) have them. I worked in IT and we had them to threaten recalcitrant computers. Sometimes the threat worked. When it didn't.. take out the frustration on it with the BFH.
