  1. There's a pretty good discussion here that might help:
  2. Quite possibly there those of less than honorable intentions also visiting the wreck. The saddest part is the folks who have the power to do something or give someone authority to do something just won't do their job.
  3. Hand that officer a wrench and tell him to either help or get out of the way. On second thought... don't do that as it might cost you dad a stripe. All humor aside, we hated officers coming out the flight line and watching us repair something. The stuff they told us was usually wrong.
  4. And so it grows.... I love following this log.
  5. Welcome to MSW, Gazzalene. You might look at this topic and see it helps you:
  6. Daniel, Peter hasn't been on MSW since February. I'd suggest you ask your questions here; https://modelshipworld.com/forum/32-rc-kits-scratch-building/ and maybe think about doing a build log as it's a good way to get help.
  7. The number of teeth is a factor. The fewer teeth, the thinner the wood to be cut. I'm attaching a PDF on blade selection. It's for the Byrnes saw and was done by a former wood supplier we had. Even without having a Byrnes saw, it's very useful. Byrnes Saw Operation.pdf
  8. The concept of "expert" is somewhat vague. There'really isn't a standard but more one of "what do you as a builder feel you are?". Every manufacturer has their own idea of "level".
  9. It is indeed dead. I've PM'd the admins to remove the link and also a pinned post for the link. I guess Adam killed his website.
  10. Welcome to MSW, Jandrus. Do start a build log as it's a great way to share your work and also get help.
  11. Russ, I don't recall that database nor do I see a link dead or otherwsie to it. Can you pop a screenshot of you homepage?? I looked at the link you show but don't ever recall seeing one like that.
  12. Just gentle reminder to keep this on topic and all political commentary out of MSW.
  13. I'm glad that Rub-n-Buff worked. I was thinking toothpaste might do it, but the stuff you used looks fantastic.
  14. Well it sure isn't my first time. LOL.
  15. Thanks, I haven't seen one with that metal carriage before and it threw me for a loop.
  16. Looks like you're approaching the finsh line, Jerry. I take that the gun(s) you're showing were for landing parties?
  17. I'm probably wrong about Italy then.
  18. I found it interesting that Stuka was a "fighter".... that part surprised me.
  19. Maury, Open up the directory and at the top right is "sort". Make sure the "Recently Updated" line is checked.
  20. Welcome to MSW, Matthias. Glad to have you onboard.
  21. Welcome to MSW, Richard. I really can't add anything but a log is good.
  22. I'd say go ahead and put the fore and aft decks on after you get the blocks in for mounting those guns. Hang off a bit on the walkways until you'put one gun together and decide how much detailing you'll do on them. Breaks my heart to hear about the pupper, Jack.
  23. Ah.. that's probably good then. I was a tech writer for several decades and always just went to the engineer to ask "how many?"
  24. Looks like they're now in Spain. They had a heck of a roadtrip from Italy to Vietnam and now Spain.
