  1. Looking good. If you hadn't told us about shortening the spar, we never would have known.
  2. Chris did a lot of work for Amati but not sure what models. As for tools.... there's topics in this area: https://modelshipworld.com/forum/18-modeling-tools-and-workshop-equipment/ Almost all posts with advice have "buy only what you need but buy the best you can afford". Start easy.... X-acto type knives, tweezers, some sanding paper then build from there.
  3. Great looking bird, Chris. Don't sweat the trolls and just give them the attention they deserve which is none.
  4. Wonderful with amazing details. I had to look twice at the last photo to realize there's mud and debris in the tire treads. Incredible.
  5. For some reason, the old line from Get Smart comes to mind... "Not the craw. The craw!" The boat itself is some seriously fantastic work. I'm looking forward to the rest....
  6. It's a joy to see your work again and you back. Love that lion as it's a great work.
  7. By all means, feel free to open a log on your model when you're ready. It's a great way to get help and meet other modelers.
  8. I would think either way will work with some clean up filing involved before painting.
  9. Ah.. the old saying about clutter expanding to fill space. I think we all have that problem.
  10. I'd go with scraping gently. Testing first on the off-cut scrap of the sheet.
  11. Nice spray work and looks to be a pain to mask. As for cargo.... just fit the backstory to the empty hold... dropped off the supplies and headed home.
  12. Welcome to MSW, Pierre. Are you using a smartphone or a PC type device? It might be that you need to scroll down further on your device at the Settings.
  13. Just wow. Beyond amazing and beyond just pure stubbornness. Definitely requires adult beverages and a happy dance....
  14. Chuck, you have no need to apologize. Haven't we said here on MSW that family comes first? You do have a massive project going on there and I'm in awe of it. Just be careful and don't hurt yourself.
  15. I tend to think those who end up facing any tank would be giving serious thoiught to running away and hiding. The difference is that back then, no one knew what the first ones were coming at them.
  16. I sadly only have mostly non-fiction. However, "The Billy Ruffian - The Belleophon and the Fall of Napoleon" is darn good even if it is non-fiction.
  17. That is very true. Other than pit work, anything else involved taking one in the garage area and tearing it apart. When the change to rear engine happened the concept of pit maintenance/repair in the middle a race completely disappeared.
  18. You made a great recovery. That's a beautiful bike. And title change made.
  19. Welcome to MSW, Nix. You mention that it was restored or repaired by the Swiss Museum of Transport. Have you tried contacting them? You'll probably need some information such as when it was done and any other paperwork.
  20. Sweet work, Bob. Looks great and brings a smile to my face. As Pegasus... I wish you smooth sailing as you've learned so much.
  21. I think that's something an admin would need to do, Allan. Fingers crossed that you can fix it.
  22. This is one of those builds that just make one have to look twice or thrice. So much detail in such a small space. Impressive and I look forward to more.
