I moveed this to the rigging section as that's a more appropriate place for it.

I'd forget the Dremel. I have a couple and they just in my closet gathering dust. My go to for small bits is a hand held WeCheer (WE-242). Its small, light weight, and and has nice low speed setting. My hands shake too but this tool seems pretty in my hands. As for bits... I bought a wood box from MicroMark a long time ago that had 20 "tubes" of HSS bits starting at a size 61 and going to 92 (very thin little things). I don't know if they still offer this set but I have broken all the bits of any ones size yet and I do use it a lot.

Matrix, see my post above yours. There's a place to put it up for sale. I'd suggest list it as "best offer".

Welcome to MSW, Todd. Feel free to open a build log on your cross-section.

US 6” gun by RGL - FINISHED - Panzer Concepts

Wonderful engines. Love the video. I do believe that today if a company tried to bring one to commercial market it would never happen. The lawyers would want tons of protective covers every where. -
Do you have an old metal rule that's rusty/beat up and seldom if ever used and is sleeping in the botom of your toolbox? The razor could be sandwiched between two pieces of wood with just the cutting edge exposed. How to mount it is the question. I don't think holding it pliers in your hand will be steady enough.

Just a wonderful model Keith and a testimony to your efforts and talent. I'm looking forward to the gallery photos and also your next model.

Rats. Been a bit since I've dove into that. Unfortunately, moderators don't have permission to change it.

Dan, open a build log when your ready. Sounds like a great project.

Not a problem. Go up the upper right to your screen name and hit "Profile" and then "Account Settings". You can change it there.

They should be in the full hull drawings. -

Finally... back in the shipyard and making progress. Been a bit of long haul to get here. Foredeck furniture is "mostly" done. Still need to do the catheads, but currently doing eyebolts on the quarterdeck. I will admit that 1:64 is currently pushing the limits on my eyeballs so the next one is going to be 1:48 unless the eye doc has a solution. Seems I don't meet Medicare requirements for new lens in the eyeballs. <sigh> But we'll see where that goes in due time.

I took a look and there's only two photos in that post. I hit "edit" and both of them in the place that shows photos. My guess is that they either didn't upload or you deleted them before posting. Even if you don't "add" them to the text area, they end up showing at the bottom of the post. Go back to the first post, hit edit and you'll only see those two in lower left hand corner. You can add photos while editing.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
