  1. I am to embark the work of making my own rope.
  2. Give me a GT40 and I will be very happy! Now back to this amazing build.
  3. As we all know, Lamborghini was not about super cars..... nope, it started with Tractors....
  4. Love the Lamborghini brand but not the new designs, call me old fashion but the Jalpa, Muira and Countach are my cars..... need a go-fund-me starter too.....😁
  5. Andre, I have a friend who gave up on this beautiful yacht. It's still in his shop. My hat off to you as you could have fooled me for being an experienced modeler.
  6. Oregon Lenny, warm . Upload pictures to your build log and let us help your from there. As for tools, x-acto knife (specially blade #11) will be your friend, be careful it's very sharp, some various files and sandpaper.
  7. Routed Frames? That was new to me as well. However, you did a great job cutting them out and gotten this far. Btw Colin, Warm
  8. Andre, You have done a fantastic work planking her, this as the frames are to few to create a stable surface. The second planking is beautiful done. Something tells me you are not a newbie to ship modelling.
  9. That's very interesting, do you happen to have a link for the glass?
  10. TK 5028, Welcome to MSW, If you don't know where to start and to get your planking experience I would recommend the NRG half hull kit. Our World is filled with so many tips and tutorials.
  11. John, Try Vallejo Air. It's a paint ready to be sprayed. No need to dilute at all.
  12. John, your first stage of priming looks real good. I learned long time ago to apply light colors first then darker. As for my Bluenose. See my log how I did the painting. Which worked out fine.
  13. Having lines in various colors depending what they are, is a help if it's related in the building instructions. Helping to identify a certain plan or level.
  14. PJG, The Vallejo Air works real nice with a regular brush. Yes, we have to add another couple of coats, but the turn out is so good. Even using air compressor and painting wood, metal works real well. Details stand out really well.
  15. Dan, My test was a 100% success. This is the pencil I am recommending, it covers the area completely after a couple of runs and no smudging at all. Prismacolor Premier Black, PC935 part no. 070735033635 available at Michael's nut probably at many other places.
  16. Dan, I found an art pencil at Michael's I haven't tried on wood yet. But when using it on paper and then adding finger to "smooth" the area - no smudging! If this will work in wood I will let everyone know the brand and pencil to go for.
  17. Dan, when it comes to caulk simulation, do some testing first as many graphite pencils will smear upon touch. Don't ask me how I know....😁
  18. I found this very nice and in depth tutorial of how to use Micro-Marks photoetching kit. If this is the best tutorial I will leave up for discussion.
  19. Apply directly from bottle but thin, not diluted. That's how I attached the cap rail on my longboat.
  20. Dave, you might have to come up with something yourself. According to Hobbyzone website in Poland it's still not available. And they will direct ship to the USA. Their website has gotten new products during the past 9 months or more. I see two scenarios: 1- There's a new version coming out, which would be great. 2 - It will be discontinued, which would be sad. Brexit has just made it harder to export and import only to England, it's not affecting other countries to my knowledge.
  21. And I do respect that, plus I am totally against copyright infringement. So let's leave it there. Thanks though.
  22. Lyle, I have a 3d printer, shouldn't be to hard to re-create such for personal use, based on pictures and measurements. Not a bad idea! HobbyZone in Poland are still showing unavailable for this product.
  23. Dave, The strange part of it the smaller version is still available. Go figure.......😀
  24. Apply PVA in-between the bulging area (not to much), let air dry for a minute. Don't touch it during the time... you can wait another half minute if you like to. Now here is the trick, use a warm (not burning) iron and move over the area you want to "seal". If you done this right the heat will create a bond that is really hard, and not bulge. Try on separate piece before to find your best outcome. This has worked for me. Good luck.
  25. I have sent an email to HobbyZone in the USA and they don't know when or if the slip will be back on the market. They are not getting replies from Poland themselves. Which is weird. I would like to get one slip myself.
