My showcases are not as nice as yours. They are a lot more basic. Below the case that I made for my HMS Triton cross section. On top of the case stands a model of a friend. The table below is not a part of the showcase.

With great sadness here to inform that Aleksander Dobrenko "woodeater" had passed away.

He was only 65. He was one of the greatest enthusiasts of ship modeling in Russia and well known in Europe as well. He had put together modelers guild of St. Petersburg, organized annual ship modeling show and contest "University Cup", was a go to guy in all aspects of the hobby and naval history of Russia. He will be greatly missed.

I am sure that his passing is a great loss to those closest to him and I wish them the very best in difficult times. He was notably generous with his knowledge and experience on this forum and he will be missed.
