Progress has been slow because life is busy.
 

The cutter just needs painted once the glue dries.

The supports for it are now made and just need painted.

Also, two carriage gun barrels are done now.

Still busy, but I’ve made a little progress.  I started carving some figures for the model.  They are the first that I have ever done, but I think they will look okay once painted and put on the deck.

I finally got time to work on my model.  I just realized that if I put my ship’s boat in, as demonstrated in the painting I was using as a reference, I won’t have room for the two aft cannons.  

Therefore, I believe that I will make davits and hang it off the stern!

Due to some minor weight and balance issues, Hannah is now permanently mounted to her base:

 

I am using Model Shipways blocks for this build (I can make my own, but I have a bits box full of them).

The ship’s boat is hanging from davits off the stern.  It is rigged to cleats that I mounted to the railing.

I added the cradle pieces for the ship’s boat  to my bits box.

The carriage guns are carved:

They aren’t the best that I have made.  The two that are more slender are the ones that are actually in scale.

 

These are 4 lb guns at 1/72 scale, which means that they are tiny.  I had a difficult time with them.  Once they are painted and in place, the deformations won’t be as readily noticeable as they are now.

The first two swivel guns are carved.  Due to the small size, I’m not carving the banding into them.

 

I made these from a toothpick.

More work done on the guns:

The swivels with the angle piece on the breech end are ready to install.

I installed the swivel guns and have started the gun carriages.

I will paint the swivel guns when I get around to painting the other cannon barrels.

 

Hannah only packed 4 carriage guns, which is a big change from the other ships I have been building lately.

 

Once the carriages are assembled and painted, I will need to come up with a bunch of eyebolts.

Most of the rest of the hull and deck fittings are now in place.

Hannah is only lacking her carriage guns, anchors and chain plates.

 

She also requires some paint work where I inflicted damage installing the rest of the fittings.

The wheels are being made from a bamboo kitchen skewer.

The four carriage guns are base coated and assembled.

 

The Main Mast is mostly roughed out now too.

 

The guns still need iron banding and eyebolts.

The carriage guns are mostly complete.  They still need final painted.

The deadeyes and chain plates are on.  This means that with the exception of some

minor painting and possibly a couple of cleats, the hull itself is done.

The anchors are ready for assembly as well.

Once all of this is done, it will be time to build all of the masts, make some sails and rig the model, not necessarily in that order.

Important note for those carving their own cannons and lesson learned for me.  
 

Ensure that the cascabel is sufficiently defined to wrap a breaching rope around it if you are making cannons that do not have the eyebolt in the breech.

In other news, 4 lb cannons are tiny and small enough at 1/72 scale that I don’t have blocks small enough to rig the guns without the blocks interfering with one another, so I will be doing a simplified version of the rigging like I did for the carronades on my Prince de Neufchatel.
