Congratulations Anja. Of course, the selection committee here at MSW had already decided that you would have the job! After all, how could they pass up your stunning intellect, charm and youthful good looks. Brains AND Beauty! :D

Now that that is settled, please tell your employer you need to make up for some lost time in the shipyard!

Hi Anja,

I'm really pleased for you, I hope  the new contract meets your approval and that you settle seamlessly with the new company.

Hello Wim, Grant, Alex, Geoffrey, Mobbsie, Jim, Anthony,

Thank you all so very much for all your kind words. It makes me feel happy to have so many friends from all over the world.

As Grant suggested, I told my employer I needed to make up for some lost time in the shipyard!

But, unfortunately, they didn't want to give me any extra time ..... Sorry, just kidding animaatjes-knipoog-41735.gif

But I promise I will dig my Half Moon out from under the dust and continue the second planking coming weekend. No more excuses. Otherwise Sjors will drag me to the shipyard.

Thank you again and take care,

Anja

Hello Popeye,

Welcome back my friend.

No, I don't work 'under contract'. I have a permanent employment.

And although I have to sign a contract with Sodexo, I will keep my permanent employment.

So, that's a good thing.

Be sure to give my regards to Phyllis and say hello for me.

Take care,

Anja

Hello friends,

Here it is, a little update on my Half Moon. Finally!

The second planking on the starboard side is underway.

I re planked the poopdeck because it was damaged.

The frames of the main deck and the forecastle weren't all aligned and straight.

I reduced the size of the frames on the main deck to make them more straight.

And I totally removed the frames on the forecastle.

Then I made inner bulwarks to be placed against the hull.   Thank you for this idea Mobbsie.

But before placing them permanently, I will have to see if the railing will still fit.

Unfortunately the wood that is used for the inner bulwarks is of a different colour than the deck planking.

I tried to stain the inside of the hull, but that was not a success. It doesn't cover the wood very well.  So, I think I'm also going to use planks for the inside of the hull.

Then everything will have the same color.

Hello Jim,

Yes, finally some progress done. No, not one of Sjors's canon carriers. The damage was totally my own fault. My knife slipped and ruined a plank completely animaatjes-schrikken-33864.gif

Hello Augie,

Thanks, it's good to be back.

Good luck with the snow shoveling. If you're fed up with it, just come to us, the weather here is slightly improving.

No snow and no rain today. Only sunshine. And the weather forecast for the coming week is not to bad.

And lots of places to go fishing animaatjes-vissen-09664.gif
