I'm getting on board late, on page 21 it seems.  All the seats were full, so I pulled up my cooler full of beer and sat on that! I love the Agamemnon and am working up to it (bomb ketch now, maybe a brig next, then old Eggs n Ham) so I'm reading with great interest. There's some really fine craftsmanship going on here :)

Hi Tyrnac,

Welcome on board !

There are still seats available so you don't have to sit on a cooler.

But keep it close to you.

Some like beer very much !!!!!!!

There are a few more Eggs n Ham around here.

When you get started ,you have a lot of examples.

Hi Lawrence and Jim,

@ Lawrence,

It looks easy but it is not !

Filler is still my best friend !

We shall see when the hull is closed.

@ Jim,

You have your house for your self again ?

And now you can go back to the build and Skype ?

Hi Sjors, your Agamemnon is coming along nicely, congratulations!

I have seen the prototype of this model, its a fantastic model and its huge.

The pictures in all the Agamemnon build logs don't really show the true size of this model.

It must be a real challenge, one I certainly would love to try.

Good luck for the rest of your build.

Hi Murphy,

Thanks  :D  :D

It's a real challenge and I just love it !

When the hull is closed, I shall make a picture with the Corsair in front.

Then you can see the sizes of this beast.

When I take a look at your Mordaunt, I know that it is something for you that you love to build.

So please, make me happy and build her !

You won't regret it !!!!!!

3/4 of the planking is done.

On the port side I have used some filler to see how it's gonna be.

And it is smooth !

Nice layer for the next planking.

Now I can close her and then it is totally filling and sanding.

A few pictures to show you.

Thanks Adriaan,

Yes, soon it is filling and sanding.

But first I have to close the hull.......

For the big parts I use a electrical sanding machine called a mouse.

A little handy tool.

No pain in de shoulders for me !

She's looking really first rate.  Now get that last portion done ...... that's the fun part  :D .  And since my Confed isn't rigged, I'll lend you my rigging spiders.  You shouldn't need them for at least a year.

Sjors, that looks so clean, soon you wont be needing a second layer of planking on your builds.

I like how you are using the stem to hold your I-Pod in that first picture, very creative, did the gnomes do that for you?  :P  :P

How are you doing ?

@ Bindy,

I'm demonstrating ????

Maybe how should not to do it.... :P  :P

I'm lucky that it is the first layer so i can do what i want with the planks.

You don't see it anymore  :D

But I'm pleased how it turns out.

Demonstrating = showing, teaching

Sorry for my big English words, everyone here writes in English so very well that I forget it is not some people's first language :(

Hahaha I will be happy when I learn so much that my second plank is as good as your first plank!

Posted

Thanks for the explanation Bindy,

I know what you mean.

When I take a look at your build, you will do a better job with the planking then I do.

It's a matter of sanding and filling !

Then even the worst planking looks amazing !

Even all the members on this forum are writing English, I will teach you one word of Dutch.

A lot of members are knowing that all ready.......

Pfffffffffffffff

Now you know one Dutch word !!!!!!
