Indeed, sir.   It looks 1000% better. What was it, too far forward on the stave?   Port side is shaping up wonderfully.

Number one and two shrouds must have not been fully secured to the stave - and moved/pulled forward, as they were not in their natural position

A nice warm sunny summers day here 21 degs - time to take her back into the garden to show the runner beans off and plonk a badly build model in front, on top of a disguised dustbin

seriously though, im am pleased the way she is progressing, the futtock shroulds could have been better- but it is not impossible to redo them if needs be. have now started the foremast upper shrouds - and learning about sister blocks

Hi Augie the futtock shrouds don't seam to hang right, like they are out of scale, I am using the smaller dia thread as per the instructions for the shrouds but used the same scale as the mains for the ratlines,  the thinner stuff made the problem worse

Kevin, I agree, from here, it looks pretty darn good.   But, if you're not happy..  go for it.

hI mobbsie, lol I have spent more time on working with Dobbie than on my builds, today we were working on making a Christmas wish list, he loves to learn new things -but at only 19 weeks old, i think that is very good

Happy New Year everyone

well I completed the foremast shrouds and ratlines and now looking for home to put the back stays, presently looking to see how the Breast stay fits - looking at some builds they tend to vary the height of the blocks, but looking at Gils I might leave it there, unless someone lets me know

Good Evening everyone

Moved from the foremast for a while and finished of the waist by fitting the ladders and safety ropes, tonight started on the mainmast standing rigging, so the serving machine is back out and making the pendants, which is a lot harder with the dog around chasing the cotton reel

Very nice Kevin !

Finished next month?

And what's next ?????

Sjors

there certainly will not be another 1st rate,

I still have the Amerigo Vespucci somewhere, I would love to do a big clipper with a full sail, set,

Kkevin,

Why not a first rate ship anymore ????

To big and no place in the house anymore ?

I have plenty of room because all the ships , San Ildefonso. Le Mirage, Spirit of Mississippi are gone........

They are at a high school.

Looking really nice Kevin. How long do you anticipate it will take to rig the ship? And I've got another question of you. :) Do you sit or stand doing the rigging? Just curious as I notice I've been standing more now that I've put the quarterdeck down.

robipod, I tend to force my self to sit, but as I and not in my normal mancave at present i dont have the right amount of leg room to make my self comfy, as for the build - hope to have her completed this year, Im already thinking of what sail material to use and how to make all the spars and finding decent drawings for the stuns to be deployed

Good afternoon everyone

Progress and a dry day to take her outside for the first time this year, main mast cathapins and futtock shrouds are now in place
