Omega...Your work is beyond description. I can't comprehend how anyone can work on

such a small scale. wow, wow, wow.

I am a big fan of classic motor yachts, especially the Trumpy line. Would love to see some

kits of these beautiful boats.

Omega,

I admire your courage and perseverance to make this project.
She looks superb and I can not imagine that it is so small, wonderful!

Wonderful model.  Looks like the design was based on the US Navy WWI 66' patrol boat.  A lot of yachts were built using the same lines.

My advice and comments are always worth what you paid for them.

It may have been the other way around in this case... it was designed in 1928.  :)  ;)

Thanks Michael and everyone. Your comments are greatly appreciated.

Michael, the watch is a Swiss Watch that I own....another expensive hobby of mine. This particular watch is one of my favourites because it was a surprise gift from my wife a few years back. It's an Omega Seamaster Regatta chronograph which, as a professional diver's watch, is fully water resistant to 300 m, or 900 feet underwater....not that I even take it in the bath tub!

All the best for 2015!

I showed a picture of the finished cruiser to the admiral.  She said, “I know how that is done.  You get artistically trained termites to eat away everything that does not look like a boat.”

I spotted your gallery and just have to tell you how much I love your little craft! I'm drawn to miniature scales, too, and started on my first scratch build of an HMS Beagle that will be about 4" long. You have already given me several ideas on how to proceed. I'm really looking forward to going through all your other logs.

Great work and thanks for sharing with us.

Gabeu

Hi Gabeu

Thanks for your compliment, which is gratefully accepted. I hope you enjoy browsing my logs, as well as others on this Forum. Anytime you want some advice or inspiration, we're all here to help. Also, pls don't forget to post your Beagle photos as well. We'd all love to see them.

Lastly, I've started a new miniature model of a J Class yacht, Rainbow. Please feel free to join me on her journey.

All the best!

I just caught up to this one my apologies. I went through the whole build. Always something to learn from chaps who model miniatures. Outstanding work as usual!

This will inspire me to get back to my build. I've been tied up with work and the wife's parents have health issues we're dealing with. What's on the agenda for your next project?

HI Jeff

It's great to hear from you and no need to apologise.

I'm glad that you like Majestic.  She was tiny, but great fun to build.  I'm also happy that you can learn some tips and tricks from her build (as I do from yourself and others on MSW).

I hope your wife's parents are not too ill and that recovery is only a short journey away.

As for my current build, well...she's a fair bit different from anything I've ever done before.  If you get a chance, please have a look at:  http://modelshipworld.com/index.php/topic/11384-majellan-by-omega1234-luxury-37-metre-motor-yacht-1200-miniature-7-inches-approx/page-1

Wonderful build.  I love these miniature models..you have done so very well with the hull cut away too. I enjoy miniature modeling...it is nearly as difficult as building the larger scales.  Your example is superb.

Reminds me of a commission I received so very long ago to build a full hull and half model(both around 6") of tis little steam launch called the Puffin.

I still have the hull molds and several half model hulls.

Several years ago I enquired about them models and it appears they have been placed in storage.

It looked like this.
