  1. She's looking great John! Love seeing all the rigging go up! Been debating with myself whether or not to rig sails when I get to it. 3 voices tell me "NO! Don't even think about it" , but there's still one voice that says "YES! It would be great" . Unfortunately, I almost always go for the underdog in these decisions, despite my "better" sense. Cheers
  2. Wow Dave! You're going right to town with the ornamentation mass production.
  3. I think David's talking about plank forming jig's, one each for the port and starboard sides.
  4. A bunch of us have been having the same problems Jay. You'll need to PM Jim Hatch (Administrator) with your I.P. address so he can "Whitelist" you into the system. For some reason, recent changes in the system left it with some bugs. Here's the thread on this: http://modelshipworld.com/index.php/topic/10405-sucuri-warning/page-2#entry311988
  5. All my hopes for a good outcome Nenad! We all do what we have to for family, and the CS will be there when you're ready. Cheers
  6. She looks great Sal! Nice fitting sweep ports to. Very nice!
  7. Fine looking crab you've carved there Dave, along with some good tips. Thanks! Cheers
  8. She's looking great Frank. The rigging and sails are making her look more and more complete! Cheers
  9. I see a nice tight fitting planking job Ken. Only we will know the stealers are there, and after sanding and paint, she'll look fine. Cheers
  10. I like that creative use of the toothpicks Dave! Very nice! They look just like they were meant to go there. Cheers
  11. It's about 32" long Matt. Don't think they'd let you on a plane with it.
  12. Hate hearing about that Nenad. You have to wonder what goes through the minds of those people in charge. This country has a lot of similarities in that respect. I think the people in charge of government, should be made to live just like the majority of other people. Cheers
  13. Matt, I've been looking for a lathe as well, and the one that has peaked my interest the most, is the Rikon Model # 70-100 Mini Lathe. It comes with 16" between centers, completely extendable, with 24" bed extensions available, and infinitely, (meaning you can add multiple extensions). It's well made and comes with a 5 year warranty for $400. Weighs 72 lbs. Cheers
  14. Here's what Bluejacket has Matt. http://www.bluejacketinc.com/fittings/toners.htm
  15. Be careful with that Mark. Federal penalties are stiff. They're liable to give you 9 years in the electric chair.
  16. Thanks Matt! I see a lot of metal fab in my future. Your mortar and the metal-work look awesome man. Heck you could just launch a ball to the water in front of your target, and the resulting tsunami would drown 'em. Cheers
  17. It's amazing to watch this one being built, since definitive records and plans are almost non-existent. I think your depiction is as about as close as anybody could get, all things considered. Very nice! Cheers
  18. Great looking mini mortars Matt! Can I ask where you're picking up all of the brass stock you've been working with? Cheers
  19. Your planking looks fine, and she's going to be a lovely ship when you're done. Cheers
  20. Sort of a bummer TFFM let you down, but a good thing David let you know about the error. Looks great! Cheers
  21. An awesome view looking down the deck, and the coils look great hanging there too!
  22. It's going to be a beautifully ornate ship when she's done Dave, and you're doing a bang-up job on her. I do think however, that this is the very part of the build that puts a lot of modelers off from buying the kit, and building her themselves. Probably fear of not getting the carvings right. Cheers
  23. Glad you clarified that Mark. I was worried about the excessive splintering if you were to roll over in your sleep.
  24. Oh Oh! Was Droopie the AWOL squirrel that I spotted in the bar?
