In that photo of the Shamrock in the dry dock, it looks like the hull is a super high gloss, mirror like finish. I guess that these racing sailboats would want that so there would be the least amount of friction possible.

Congratulations, Chris, on your 56th and for all of your amazing success with your Vanguard models. I've got 20 years on you and, when I look back to 20 years ago, I can't believe has fast those years flew by. The laws of physics get turned upside down around age 60 and time actually speeds up!
Can't wait to see the American privateer you are working on. Any projected date for when it may hit the market? The suspense is building by the day!

Glad you're on the mend, Harry, those rotator cuff injuries take a long time to heal. I'm looking forward to seeing your progress reports. Best wishes!

Any Baltimore Clipper design will be beautiful especially designed by Chris.
Their lines are so sleek and and I love the rake of the masts. Gorgeous ships!

I just found your build of this lovely model, Paul, and your work is stunning as usual. The AYC looks great too. It's such a wonderful wood to work with. I'll be following along. Good luck!

I really like working boats so I'll be following along on your build, Andrew. It looks like you are doing a nice job of managing the small difficulties you've encountered with the kit already. Good luck!

It is not Pride of Baltimore. I see no sense in developing kits others have already done, even more so when it's a brand new range. I prefer to do stuff that hasn't been done thus far.
Great news none the less. I'm really glad that you have decided to add an American vessel to your line of models. 👏
