Unfortunately not, Glenn. Cycling, gardening and many hours of playing guitar has all but shut down my shipyard lately. I've been building vicariously by following the logs of others though!

Warming up here in Colorado means getting out to golf
I know what you mean although I don't golf. Cycling, gardening and ever more time playing guitar has all but shut down my shipyard lately. I've been building vicariously though by following the logs of others!
Your model is looking great, btw, she's coming along nicely.

Eventually the 'Flagship' is to be a First Rate, Royal George of 1756
Wow! The Royal George would be an incredible model!

I have said before, I am always tempted to do Caledonia, a 120 gun First Rate, just to see the expression on my wife's face as the hull is built!
🤣
All joking aside though, is the Caledonia actually a possibility sometime in the future? It seems like the Indy will be the crowning achievement of the Vanguard line of models once it is released. Do you have plans for expanding and/or diversifying your lineup further in the years to come?

I just read through your log again, David. Sorry to hear that you came down with Covid. It seems like there's practically no escaping it at some point for most everyone no matter how cautious we are. It's nice to see you back in your shipyard working on this magnificent model.

I started today setting up a build board for the next build.
I can't wait to follow your build log for the Nordlandsbaaden. I have admired that boat for quite a few years.

Not that this will surprise anyone, but the protuberance on the left is a privy. All water comes from cisterns fed from the roof which I can tell you is not free of gull excreta. it's possible that it used to be less of an issue, but they lived rough back in the day.
Yuck! I'm sure the privy got plenty of use after drinking that water!!

Very nice work on that topsail! It looks much better.
Do the instructions and plans clearly show how the topsail is rigged? I would be very interested in seeing the rigging lines for the topsail and where they are secured.
