  1. Welcome aboard, Jesús! Your Victory model is impressive! My wife and I spent 10 weeks traveling in Spain a few years ago and we loved Sevilla. All of southern Spain and the pueblos blancos are so beautiful. We can't wait to go again.
  2. The sails look fantastic, Peter! However, I have the same question as Eric just asked as well regarding the longevity of the potato starch method used on the sails.
  3. Yes, I'm still riding but I'm off to a slower start than normal this year due to a busy calendar of other activities and travel. I've been getting out for 35 mile rides 3-4 times a week but haven't gotten into the hills and mountains yet this season. We just got home yesterday from traveling and I'll be able to ride more regularly for while until we start traveling again in a couple of months. I'm typically doing some rides of 50 to 75 miles with significant elevation gains by this time of the year. I'm still in love with my Trek Émonda. It's a pure joy to ride and worth every penny!
  4. The rigging looks so complicated and intricate! You're doing a wonderful job of working your way through it all, David.
  5. I am firmly onboard for this build, Grant. I too have fancied a steam powered model and have looked carefully at the Alexandria by Krick models. However, I know I would be in way over my head trying to build a steam powered RC model. I'll be following along intently as you work your way through this one. Good luck, Grant. I'm sure you'll build another showpiece to add to your ever expanding, eclectic assortment of models!
  6. Unfortunately, my Flirt and my Pen Duick have been lying idle for a very long time. I'm not sure when I'll get back to working on either of them again but they are both beautiful models and deserve to be completed. It looks like you have started the Cheerful. I'm looking forward to following along as you build her. Good luck!
  7. What a great accomplishment to finish this challenging model, Don. She's a beautiful! Congratulations!
  8. There's not much more praise that I can add that others haven't already said. I'll just say..WOW...what a beautifully detailed diorama and a wonderful build log to boot. Congratulations, Grant!
  9. Wonderful job planking the deck and especially cutting the joggles! You did a much better job than I did.
  10. She looking great, Don, and you're the only one who will notice a slight lack of symmetry. Everyone else that sees her will simply be gobsmacked that you could build such an impressive model. Fairing the hull is, at least for me, one of the most challenging steps in model ship building and I've yet to do it well no matter how slowly I go while eyeing it from different angles and constantly checking with a batten. I admire those folks who complete this task with confidence and accuracy.
  11. It's really great to see you making this model, Chuck. I love these small, working boats and this is a very interesting one. I think it would be a wonderful addition to your line of models and I hope it will become one of your one regular offerings in the near future.
  12. I was so inspired from watching Grant build his beautiful Alfa Romeo that I found a good deal on one and bought it but, alas, it still sits temptingly on a shelf in the den. I look forward to following your build now too. Good luck!
  13. She's a real beauty, Doug! It's been a pleasure following your build log as well. I look forward to your next project.
  14. That's one big, impressive model, Harry! Congratulations on completing such a complex project with such a fine result. I've enjoyed the ride and look forward to following your next project.
  15. Oh no! Just when I was just thinking that I should wait around and see how you go about rigging yours first! 😂
  16. It great to see another Pen Duick being built. She's such a beautiful and historic sailing vessel. Unfortunately, my model has been sitting idle in my dry dock for a very long time. I'm looking forward to following along on your build and, hopefully, I'll gain some inspiration and motivation to get back to work and finish mine. She's much too beautiful to be left unfinished. Good luck!
