  1. Thanks for sharing your plans for the new models that you are planning to develop and release in 2023. I think the American schooner Grecian will be wildly successful especially on this side of the pond. All the best in 2023!
  2. I'm so excited to see you develop this Coast Guard 82 footer. I'm very familiar with these great Point class cutters from my years in the Coast Guard from 1966-70. I served in the USCG onboard the USCGC Storis out of Kodiak, Alaska, and then as a coxswain/ engineman on the 40 foot utility boats at the Captain-of-the-Port Los Angeles/Long Beach Station. Coast Guard models are few and far between and are underrepresented in the modeling hobby. So thank you so much for developing this model. I'll be following along with great interest. I'd be over the moon if you ever decided to make a model of the Cutter Storis also known as the Galloping Ghost of the Alaskan Coast. She was the Queen of the Fleet as the oldest serving cutter in CG history with 64 years and 5 months of service up to the time of her decommissioning in 2007. Her history included service in WWII and many years of search and rescue operations in the Gulf of Alaska and the Bering Sea. She was also one of 3 cutters that made the first circumnavigation of North America by completing the Arctic Northwest Passage in 1957.
  3. Your meticulous attention to detail is second to none, Grant. All of your modeling projects are so interesting and so well done. I wish you and your family good health and prosperity in 2023!
  4. You're getting there little by little on this big project, Harry. Wishing you all the best in 2023!
  5. I'm so glad to hear you are on the mend, Jean-Paul, and I'm looking forward to seeing your wonderful work again.
  6. This is very sad news indeed. Bob was a mainstay on this forum and will be missed immensely by all who followed his builds and communicated with him. He was always so humble, soft spoken, kind and helpful and, because of those wonderful qualities, he most certainly left the world a little better place. Rest in peace dear Bob.
  7. In that photo of the Shamrock in the dry dock, it looks like the hull is a super high gloss, mirror like finish. I guess that these racing sailboats would want that so there would be the least amount of friction possible.
  8. Congratulations, Chris, on your 56th and for all of your amazing success with your Vanguard models. I've got 20 years on you and, when I look back to 20 years ago, I can't believe has fast those years flew by. The laws of physics get turned upside down around age 60 and time actually speeds up! Can't wait to see the American privateer you are working on. Any projected date for when it may hit the market? The suspense is building by the day!
