    I agree with "SpyGlass". I bought one some years ago and it wasn't worth it. You can use it as a keel clamp. Don't waste your money on it. Just my 2 cents.

    /Matti, I am sure that no matter which way you do the sculptures they will look nice. Always remember you are the Master of the build and you should do it the way you think is best. Keep the pictures coming, I am enjoying this build very much.

    I am glad your happy with your Sherline Lathe. They make some excellent machine and they stand by there stuff. I spent a heck of a lot of money with them and any time I had a problem or question they had no problem helping me. Heck one time they talk me out of spending more money, now that is nice.     I am running Win 7 and I can see them, also I am using Firefox. At one time I was have problems downloading and saving pictures but somehow fix that.

    They just came out with a 1/200 scale version. Hopefully soon there will also be detail sets for her. I have 2 1/192 scale kits and I have most of the add on detail sets, still a few more things to get and then I will have everything I need. I have all the 40 quard guns and the 20mm guns plus all the barrels for the main and the 5" guns plus rails, ports holes and doors and ladders. Someday in a year or two I will have all that is needed to start her.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.

The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build.
