  1. I wish I could Toni but they are all gone and the photos were on film. Which was damaged years ago. The models that I have finished other than the cards are the America. Harvey, Cutty Sark, a Thames Barge and a few others that I have forgotten. I was working on a Thermopalae with a warped hull that I found to improve my skills when my mentor Dana Mc Calip RIP told me to throw it out and do a fully scratch model. I have been improving my skills ever since That is the Latham at 1/96. It is a learning model that I practice on. As a result it can be rough and good. I have the MS Whale Boat that I will be my next build. Out of the box if at my sisters and scratch using my own woods etc when I get home. David B
  2. I do not envy your prediciment. Choose the one you think you will be happiest with. David B
  3. Quality of that kind is probably an arm and a leg. David B
  4. You have nothing to complain about. It is better than I could probably do. David B
  5. Bob, The NRGs loss is your gain you will be hard to replace. I am glad too that you had fun with the kids. I await with panted breath on the continuing saga of the English Longboat. I just wish I was there to really eyeball it. You are still my teacher after all these years. David B
  6. It is you call. I would prefer a light hull so she could be seen easy and to be able to show off my handiwork. David B
  7. After I got back I finished the hatch covers and tried to make the guns. I made a mistake. I followed the instruction for rhw turret but they said nothing about the cannons. It turns out the cannons had carrraiges and they should have been put inside the turret. my bad. I cut the barrels and glued them to the opening. Reminder note double check the plans and the sequence of building. I fiinished the hatch covers and glued them into place. The steeting chain was then cut out and glued into place I made a few mistakes but also learned a few more lessons as well and had fun. David B
  8. I am sorry I missed this log. It has been many years since i have seen this baby built. I think I will take a seat and learn some more. David B
  9. Give this man a cigar and a shot of that 20 yr old scotch someone has hidden. Nicely done. David B
  10. To me they are about the same either way both have there problems. With Artesia Latina, the material is not that great and with Mamoli the plans are not the most accurate. Both, however can be made into good models. David B
  11. My words exacly. I have forgotten how many times my visors have kept me from losing my eyesight over the years. Better a new pair of glasses than an eye. The lenses on my regular glasses are shatter proof as well. David B
  12. By what type I mean are you looking for a man of war, a cargo hauler, a pleasure boat, etc. David B
  13. I am sorry to hear about your spouse. I hope only the best for both of you. Your find looks like an intriguing project. David B
  14. Where do you live and what kind of vessel would you like to build? This would make things a little easier. David B
