If it is a matter of stability ... you could display her upside down ... not a nice alternative, unless she's fitted to the ceiling

Nice forest, Nils. They do attract attention, that is certain, but it is good contrast with the other details. Besides, you can't leave them off. Your build wouldn't be up to date

Those tubs were fitted in 1945, on one of the front turrets and the rear turret. They do give something extra, that's what I can't add on the Musashi. Love the detail you added with the paint, Greg. Wonderful work on that.

This is what I could find: on a good day the turret recieved information from the director on the foretop. This used radar to get precise range information and had a stereoscopic system as backup. If the turret stopped receiving information from the fire control computer the turret would switch to local control. This was entirely stereoscopic, and thats why there are "wings" on the back part of the turret, this houses the lenses for the rangefinder within the turret.

Very nice work, Igor. Since I started working with PE at 1/350 I now know what you are going through with for example the railing. You are even having more chance to damage items on your build as mine is at a far larger scale. Well done my friend!!

The hull looks very good now. Wouldn't have expected sienna to do that, but I should have known colourwise. Yes, those turrets aren't for pussies;) They stretch the whole breadth of my hand. Did you use a larger nozzle on he airbrush for the primer? Can' wait to set mine up. I'll be having enough to do when I can start priming. The box with parts to prime starts to fill up

Sam, That's no excuse, it's a fact of life. I know older people with a better memory!! Missing a bank in your memory slots;) Mine has deteriorated, probably a virus, or touched by liquid My current set contains a broken Nikon S3600 (let it drop on it's lens), a Canon 400D, and recently a 5d MkII (coincidence?) I'm still exploring with. My background is B&W photography, and manipulation of iso, e.g. shoot a 1600 ISO at 100 and adjust development time. I must say that DSRL's make the waiste of film history, but I find the B&W properties limited, I can't get what I want (I do not like to manipulate images with software). If I have to do that I feel like a desktop publisher. It seems, however, I have to make the step to get what I want. So be it (very reluctantly) Cheers
