You always come out on top, Nenad. So do not complain about a slight colour difference Tarpaulins will not have the same colour, since they get dirty, and will be replaced over time, but the chance they get changed simultaneously is small

Ahhh, Greg but I have the OLD TOOL :D so you had torture, and I get a mere whipping , although, looking at the kit, I might have preferred the torture ...

Expected the new tool would be more precise, it seems it gives you somewhat more building pleasure, and use of creativity. Nice solutions to these inconveniences. Well done, Greg. A pitty Tamiya didn't make a conversion for the Musashi on the new Yamato. There is quite a lot of differences when you look at both models ...

Looks good. These ships really come alive with the brass work. I like the changes you have made so far

The third picture has to much reflection from the background, which blurs the contours, the second has that slightly, you can see it around the rail (top centre), so for me, disregarding the colour, it would be the first.

Bob, you're a midget Do you always stand when using power tools. I for instance sit when I use a dremel, so I can fixate my arm/wrist/hand on the workbench -
Good to see you at your miniatures again, Igor. That certainly is a near perfect fit you have with the water

Frank, Very impressive, it's more like a tutorial, I cannot get enough when people like you show the way they tackle challenges, or just make parts. I have a question though: Any reason why you didn't use wood?

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
