  1. Like a cherry Kees. That will remain the colour of the hull? Might scare the fish away ...
  2. Nice carving, jet again ... looking forward to your ... scrollwork ... Suspence, what suspence ... you're so vague, it isn't exciting ... (please, tell us, let us know, lift a tip of the vale ... c'mon ... just an ini mini mini tiny bit ...) Cheers

  10. Sam, I'm still confused, but not by your build - a kind of permanent state of mind ;-) - I like that piece of wood ... a good choice. I am curious as to 'haw' far you will detail the bow sprit ... I like the tapering on it ... don't get drowned by work ... you'll need some relaxation too Cheers
  11. Not really astonishing, considering the number of Viking warriors entering service at that time and in that region (Eastern Roman Empire/Constantinople, if my history lesson, and reading stuck)
  12. Steven, I wish you luck, altough I hardly think you'll need it, the way you go at it ... A very interesting build ... don't mind me looking over your shoulder Cheers P.s. The hull's shape reminded me of something I saw on a site when I was looking for the plans for a gondola ... http://www.veniceboats.com/eng-designs-ships-narrow-ships.htm
  13. Tought they used smaller hats in Indonesia, Piet ... More cylindrical These look like the hats used in the rice paddies, etc.all over Asia. Fortunately you know best as beeing born and bred!!! Still, 'chapeau' for the carving ... they do give a nice touch to it Cheers
  14. Michael, Again a very lovely build, looks even better than your previous ... if at all possible ... especially when one considers the scale you are building at ... Cheers P.s. Don't forget to buy the alcohol to disolve the shellac ...
  15. A week ...!!! That will be hard on my patience ... this build takes away the dread for the day ...have been looking forward to it's development ... such a stunning execution of technique ... marvelous result ...
