I wish you all a nice evening. In post #24 I already explained how I proceed with the installation of the square bolts, well I thought I would show you a few pictures of the process.
1. Measure and mark the hole pattern from both sides.2. Drill holes
3. Insert bolts with small pliers and a hammer.
4. File off the bolt with the needle file.
5. Sand with 240 grit sandpaper.
6. Buffing with steel wool.
And here three frames in comparison.
So now I'll get back to work, there's still a lot to do.

Day 3:
4 more frames are added, I decided to use the square bolts in the upper area as well and not tree nails. The tree nails are just a relief to make it easier to saw out the gunports later. In the area of these openings I will drill the holes, but I will not use anything to retrofit them if necessary after opening them.

Day 2:
Measure the hole pattern of the frame exactly, mark, drill holes, insert bolts, file off bolts (first use a file, smooth with 240 grit sandpaper and then polish with abrasive wool), blacken bolts and then come the upper tree nails at the end.
Exactly in that order. Working time per frame about 1 hour. I've definitely been busy for a very long time.
If we now imagine the following:
You won't see half of it because it disappears under the planks and the other half will probably be cut away if I open the side, i.e. 3 frames then a whole one again, etc. But I know that they are there. Well we'll see.
Thank you all again for all the likes and comments. -

Outstanding work Sir! Your shop is beautiful. I’m guessing you were a woodworker long before a model ship builder. 😀
Hello David, I am a trained car mechanic with a technical degree, so nothing with wood, but I love working with wood. My entry into the hobby was also only last year in January with the Essex whaler kit and from June last year Le Coureur by CAF. The Admiralsbau has been on my mind ever since, so I decided to start with La Palme.

We've been back from vacation since Sunday night and I went back to work at Wert on Tuesday evening.
I managed to finish the last 6 frames, a small milestone in a mega project. in the next few evenings, the bow and the nail picture of the frames are due, as well as the filler pieces and many small things. I'll keep you posted until then.Thank you for looking.

Hello Maik,
I ordered my Speedwell books on Monday and according to UPS they will be delivered tomorrow, I have to say that went quickly. General comments and my personal opinion is that the shipping costs are ok, around 56€, yes it may be a lot for some, but it is very fast 4-5 working days and if I calculate it on the time I can spend with this book and which ones friends it can prepare it is justified.
I bought the two books of the Naiad in January last year, I can't remember exactly the shipping costs but I think it was around 30€ but with a delivery time of over 6 weeks. Finally, I would like to thank Maik again for keeping Sea Watch Books alive by taking it over and giving us the opportunity to continue buying the great books.
Greetings Tobias

Yves
Hello Yves, there were about 60 model builders on site and just as many models, if not a little more. You can find one or the other here in the forum.
