Aldo & Børge, Thank you very much guy's. Why do you stay away for such long time? When you are looking you need a few hours to catch everything up. When you are coming at regular base, you have more time for building @ Aldo, How is life? Still chaotic???? @ Børge, How is your elbow??? little better and back again at the ship yard? @ Popeye, I can hear the organ…….

I can believe that John. I think it looks great when the belaying pins are black and the bulwarks yellow…. I wait for the end result.

Hi Caroline, Early in the morning and all ready a question... You are ending the lanyard at the bottom of the deadeye and not at the top????? And how do you "closed" it then? I know that the lanyard are at the top deadeye and then seizing on the shroud…... Maybe you find another way? Or is it still to early for me and I don't see it right….

When you finished the planking you can use filler to get it smooth with the other planking. What I did was lay a piece of planking on the wave and sand it down till it is smooth. It's a lot of sanding, I know…... So better is to use the filler. That's the profit with double planking !

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
