  1. Thanks everyone.....also for the likes @ Sam, Anja is not reading my log because she has the life version in front of her And yes, I'm cover up the hull with a few plates.... @ Wayne, We have a bottle full of copper coins and a melter close by @ Ben, I did not count the copper plates yet but I thought that I read somewhere that it is about 1700 plates...... That also gonna take a few months. But no rush ! By the time I'm finished with that, maybe I'm retired...... @ Mark and Piet, Thank you both ! Coppering can take a while because I have to paint her first.... And I believe that it is gonna be around 10 layers of paint ? Maybe Trussben or Augie or Rusty can answer that
  2. Thanks Augie, Grant and Jan, @ Grant, I want to do the coppering but there is a lot more to do before I can do that. Filling, Sanding, Painting, draw a waterline....Paint again @ Augie, I broke Anja her piggybank for the copper Don't tell her that please....
  3. Thanks Augie I have to make more stays ( 18 ) with deadeyes and then to the yards...... And then there is a lot more rigging !!!!!!
  4. Also an update for the Fonz When the planks are drying on the Aggy, I have make the main royal stay's...... The only difficulty I find out are the blocks that are at the bottom of the Main- and Mizzen mast. The rope was again twisting all the time. But I think it will be ole. I don't know if it is the right way to tie the rope what I have done but there is almost no working space. For the next time I think I will make that first BEFORE i go to the shrouds and ratlines. Then I have space enough......
  5. Update time at the Aggy but also for the Fonz Second planking and sanding of that on the Aggy is done ! It only takes me a couple of months to do it . Now I need some filler at some places and sanding it again. It has to be a smooth surface for the copperplates. But...after the filling and sanding it's painting time ! Then I can start with the coppering.
  6. Great job on the rigging so far Mobbsie ! And that rope is really terrible ! Before I use that I have to see how it goes otherwise I'm gonna change it.....But I think that's gonna take a while David, I just read your post to Mobbsie and beginner ???? Au, that hurts ! Mobbsie has build a few more models and they are at the moment in a museum..... I don't think that the Agamemnon is a beginners model
  7. Here is a drawing of the Clove Hitches.
  8. Thanks for this Mike, I'm almost at the part that I have to make the yards with the sails for my San Ildefonso. I wanted to do furled sails but didn't know how. Now I know Thanks !
  9. Thanks Kevin, I have just done a few running rigging. I had some problems with the rope that goes down at the main mast. The blocks where again in a twisting mood Tomorrow I will begin at the stays. No pictures because my external disc has left me....broke. I need to buy another one before I can save the pictures. So everyone, be patient...... But when i have an update, I can show you something !
  10. Always look for the best Nigel, If you have a spare room in the new house, you are one happy camper ! I know what I'm talking about because I have a spare room maybe you can ask Mobbsie for a house close to him ? Then we can visit you also.....
