Thank you Yves and Heinrich.
Heinrich, I am building her according with Boudriot's plans. I bought the monograph at least 10 years ago, and, at that time I read the booklet that come with it. Now, I don't really remember her history - I just took out the plans and start building.
I always wanted to build her, but had other projects to finish and to be honest, I was a little bit scared of the clinker planking of her hull - never done one before. Turns out this type of planking is, in my opinion at least, as easy if not easier to do that the carvel planking - especially at the bow and stern where the planks have to bend in two directions. It is easier and possible to bend sidewise a plank that is at an angle with the surface then when it has to lay flat on that surface. The whole hull was planked using only straight planks, some were just narrowed toward the ends.
Anyway, here are some more progress pictures on the deck planking aft and the upper side planking.

Thank you guys for all comments and likes.
To No Idea: tilting base is specially designed and "home made" for existing Proxxon vice.
To dvm27: I have visited Sherline web - this maschine is fantastic, I´ve never seen anything like it before.
After about one week all ropes are finished, cca 190 ropes in 14 thickness. Lenght of one ropes is approximately 180 cm.
Amazing work Marsalv!
Can I ask you where do you find the thread you are using to make your ropes? You show two different colours and I guess you can find it in different thicknesses to ned up having 14 sizes.
Thank you,
Alexandru

Thank you.
I cheated a bit at bow and stern to get the planks laying flat into the rabbet. The picture shows what was done in the real ships and what should I have done. Instead I did only the first two profiles and then filed flush whatever was still pocking out of the planks. The result was the same and one can't (almost) even tell the difference even at the flat stern where you can see the planks ends.

I am thinking of making this my next build and was reviewing yours. Could you let me know the wood you used for the masts?
Tony
Tony,
The masts are made from some left over hardwood flooring. Here in Quebec, the wood is called in French "Merisier" but it is not cherry tree as a direct translation will say, it is in fact "bouleau jaune" which stands for yellow birch. I used it as it is quite straight and well dried. It works very nice, especially by turning. There is quite a color variation between pieces as you can see in the pictures, but I only use those uniform white. I used it to simulate the nordic pine that was actually used for masts. The sparts and other black parts were just painted with black acrylic paint.
Hope this helps.

Hello model shipbuilders!
Here is my latest build log. I started this project early last year and now I decided to share it with you.
The build is based on Boudriot's monograph "Le Coureur".
There were several things I found very interesting when I decided to build this model:
- the sail plan
- the clinker planking of the hull - I've never done one before
- and the acceptable size and complexity
I plan to do a fully rigged model. Everything will be scratch built except the guns and the gun carriages which were bought from SyrenShipModelCompany.com

Thank you guys!
I am quite happy with this model especially considering I am not usually rig my models, even rarely I make the sails.
I have tried some new (for me) way to make the sails and I liked the results so that the model I am currently working on will be also fully rigged.

Hello Alexandrus,
I agree with the other folks that you've made a very fine model. However, as a retired draughtsman/designer, I 'm noting
an omission. I also have a set of the "Jacinth" dwgs from Ancre, but I'm not able to look at them now; I see you have put
3 reefs in the fore-topsail. How could the seamen reef the topsail, if there are no foot-ropes to stand on? These would not
be difficult to add! Kind Regards, Pollex (Calgary) 20 april'2020
Pollex,
You are right, there are foot-ropes on both spars on that masts in the plans - I just checked. I've missed them, and probably missed a number of other ropes. I might add them when I revisit the model in a while - I sometimes do that like I did with my Japanese Fune.
Thank you for pointing that out.
