Try contacting them directly. Others have done it and parts have been shipped. https://artesanialatina.net/en/

Welcome to MSW, MCB. As for a build log, I'd say go for it. We are seeing several builds of unusual watercraft in the scratch area.

That's true, Lou. I need more coffee.

To make your own line, you need a rope walk. Use the key words "rope walk" and separate search for "ropewalk". You'll get quite few hits for everything from a simple yet very useful one from Chuck (Syren Model Company) all the way up to some powered types.

Planking methods
mtaylor replied to Charlie pal's topic in Building, Framing, Planking and plating a ships hull and deck
These might help you, Charlie.... https://modelshipworld.com/forum/98-planking-downloads-and-tutorials-and-videos/ I'd read through them all and then pick one. The difference in these is the methods and details of how to do it. -
Newer to Model Building, requesting assistance.
mtaylor replied to histprof1066's topic in Wood ship model kits
Welcome to MSW. Could you edit your post and use a .jpg image for your photos? Not many of us have an app/program that can display a heic image. Also you might consider doing an introduction here: https://modelshipworld.com/forum/3-new-member-introductions/ -
The only thing I see with suggestions here is maybe painting them all black. The goal of a smuggler would be to look normal to any revenue types. Look like a fishing boat or common trade craft. The worse thing they could do would be to draw attention to themselves either by color or number of guns.

Enzo Ferrari by CDW - FINISHED - Tamiya 1:24 Scale
mtaylor replied to CDW's topic in Non-ship/categorised builds
Lou, you are right of course. Nothing quite approaches the classic one. As for the abandoned Enzo.... it's not the only high dollar classic performance car that's been abandoned. Over the two decades there's been a lot of stories about them. Some sitting in airport parking lots even. -
Welcome to MSW, Graham. BTW, I deleted your duplicate introduction.
-
Welcome to MSW, Vladislav. I'm looking forward to your seeing your steam cutter being built.

I've been to Astoria frequently in the past. Neat place to just wander about.

You're doing good, Shipman. I too try to clarify things. The more of us that do this, the less hassles we'll all have.
-
There's a ton of places to buy them. Look at the front page sponsors. There's also here: http://www.dafinismus.de/plates_en.html#anker7 While not a sponsor, his eyebolts are scale appropriate for the 1:96.

That looks to be a fun build, Nils. And I moved it to the kit area as it seems appropriate.

From the "how to start a fight" department obviously. The non-retalatory answer is " because i like a challenge". At no point use the word "challenge" and "you" in the same sentence for the response.
-
Colin, I suggest you go ahead and start a log of your own. That way it won't be divided up into two places.

Looking good especially with the crew. I can't imagine trying to paint them at this scale. I bow to the master.

Enzo Ferrari by CDW - FINISHED - Tamiya 1:24 Scale
mtaylor replied to CDW's topic in Non-ship/categorised builds
I think the price of the one looked at was right around $100,000. The price of the ones on the Ford website (https://www.ford.com/performance/gt/ and here https://www.ford.com/performance/gt/mkii/?intcmp=vhp-gt-revealcta-gt don't have a price listed.. I shudder to think what it is now.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
