I have an idea (ups careful OC) for when you do your deck railings - how about if you made a very fine shallow gouge out on the deck edge between the hull and where the deck sits, it might help the railings adhere better and be stronger, I had considered doing this on my Warspite - but after i had fitted them. You could use one of those panel line scribers. OC.

She is making good progress brother, and I like the idea of working on the fiddly deck fittings first before the superstructors go on, more room to do waht you have to do - paint etc. OC.

Just done this - its the actual ground plan of my dio when I build it, its taken from the actual over head scene of how La Haye Sainte looks today, it shows the boundary dictated to me by how much room I have, the gray patch lower front is the gracel roadway, the rear is chopped off loosing the width of the buildings and roofs but will still have a false wall. Hope it makes sense? OC.

Evening all, from over here in the UK - Happy late Christmas, Right the day was done - I cooked a naked Christmas Curry (Turkey-less) with Rice and Naans, then we had a mince pie each, then sat down to watch the repeats on the tv, then I spent Five minutes on the work table - I moved the Five figures I am working on from left to right and back again - thats it. Might move them round again tomorrow - if I feel up to it. All the best my friends/muckers/on-lookers/posters and genuinly everyone who puts up with me OC.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
