Doug, I was just wondering about the deck if it the wrong one provided from ModelExpo. You should send that picture to their customer service and ask them to check other kits. They might have sent the wrong deck piece to you. Edit: Is there any popcorn available as I pulling up a seat, I need to follow this build.

Keith, I have just read through all the twelve pages of your Altair. And I don't know how to express this......... I am so impressed by your skill and eye for detail. This is just amazing! Lovely work!

Another visual update. There is not left to do. Tidying up the lines and some touch up painting. This has been a great journey.

Steve, I used lines from Chuck, really good investment! When it came to the seizing I used the poly/cotton thread from the fabric store.

Bob, Are you going try to simulate the sheets of steel on her? Or do you think the scale is to small for such adventure? -
How about three minutes epoxy. Gives you a little window to work and no clamps needed, use needles instead.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
