Real life got in the way of modeling today. Maybe tomorrow will be more favorable conditions for Der Tourenvagen. Think I'll name her, Helga.

It's still a great movie even if it is only partly accurate historically... (everything after the discovery of the tunnel escape and the machine gunning of the 50, except for the two that made it to Sweden with a rowboat, and the one that made it to Spain on a bicycle, is a flight of fantasy)

 

You could also do the arrival of Big "X" at the start, the re-arrival of Hiltz, (for the third time) at the end.... It was a great Steve McQueen vehicle....

Test fitting the engine to the chassis. Perfect fit. I have no idea whether the Germans used any particular color on their engine for this car. Just going to use my own imagination I guess. No mention of it in the instructions. They only specify exterior colors.

I finished a major (for me) plumbing issue at my house, also celebrated our wedding anniversary yesterday. Now maybe my modeling time can resume to a more normal frequency. 😊

Did I mention that plumbing maintenance sucks and that paying for a plumber might be equally unpleasant? None of it is as bad as doing without so I’ll quit griping and get down to some serious modeling now (after I take a quick swim).

I hate plumbing work. It always seems to involve fittings that have frozen in place after thirty years and the damage created in getting them off leads to an even bigger job before it's finished.

I agree, plumbing can be a PITA but paying others to do it can be an even bigger PITA. Missing an anniversary can be even more deadly and costly. How many years are you at now?
