My name in Luc, and I live in Flanders, Belgium. I already finished several kits (Albatros, Sharke, Dutch gunboat, ...), but now I started scratch building. I bought some (mostly secondhand) quality machinery and tools, and, as a firtst attempt, I am currently working on the ’bateau de Lanveoc’, plans from Ancre. Very satisfying until now (pearwood!), this forum is a great source of information and inspiration for me. My workshop is on the ceeling of the house, not very big but cosy and convenient.

Welcome! If you post a build log, I'll definitely follow it. The bateau de lanveoc looks like a fascinating build, and I don't think there are any logs for it.

Welcome aboard. Almost impossible to believe, a large international community of people in a rather small hobby (definately in Belgium) and you live in the same village as me....

Where is the pub? In Uustekluu there aren’t so many left over 🙄

ensor when I was driving through Europe one of my regular stops was between Ypres and Wormhout in France.  It was a routier call Hoffland which was owned by a guy call Michael.  I have great memories of this place and although it is not a pub - the bar was always open and usually open late too.  I think it was in Steenvoorde but my memory fails me sometimes now.

Only ones left are in the capital of our village ;).

Come to think of it, with 2 ship modellers in 1 village, that will make the village the "ship modelling capital of Belgium" 🤣
