good evening everyone, ratlines are taking me forever, but considering, when all the sails are in position very little will be seen, one or two will need to retied as they look a little sloppy, but with the diorama that i intend they will be full of little people

Looking good from here, Kevin.   I'm still surprised you can get her in and out of the house as big as she is.

Arthur, I had to look to see what that meant, hope to force the weathering onto the tiles before long, still far to bright, considering they were put on about 3 years ago

I have finally decided how to set this build into a diorama setting, I need to have some idea by now so that I can plan the next couple of years, Hms Victory, with three cutters, I will have enough room for this

Attached picture is the Constitution but gives an idea of what I would like to achieve

Hi Kevin

Just stopping by to get an update.

Interesting to hear you plan for a diorama, that sounds great, cant wait to see it progress.

I like the picture you want to base it on, looks like a distinct lack of wind.

Your progress so far is looking great, really nice work, hope you are still enjoying, I'm sure the ratlines are challenging your patience. :D

Keep up the good work

Every little you do Kevin is a little less you have to do, it's not a race to get these done.

Apart from planking this has to be one of the most tedious jobs on a build and as such it's easy to rush it and mess it up. Its also one of those jobs that can really make a good build special.

Nice and easy mate.

Good evening everyone,

took me ages to find my own thread, after nearly two ,months away again

Anyway, i have completed the netting around the boomkins, and happy with them but i have now resolved where I think the lines go wrt the 6 lines that come from above the round house and pass through the thimbles on the spirit sail yard

My big question now is WHEN DO I START TO TIE EVERYTHING OFF AND SECURE THEM?

Sorry about picture quality, and my mancave is a tip

Kevin,

Not the answer you want... tie them off when you are ready.

Good afternoon everyone

I completed the fore mast standing Riggiing, and now onto the Mainmast, quite windy outside, but managed a few shots and its great for blowing the dust off

spent quite a lot of time tieing off the loose ends after ensuring they were taught enough, turn the build around and DAMMMMMMMMMMMMM, snapped the Jib boom, tried to repair but unable to as all the lines attached will not allow me to get a decent repair, so am going to leave it for now,

Went to the other end and now working on the mizzen mast, presently fitting the futtock shrouds

there is a big moral story to all this, but dont want to admit that it was a big mistake doing the bow area out of sequence
