The standing rigging is now complete. These pictures aren't showing it off real well with my blue walls; I think I'll have to drag her outside now that the weather has improved for some better shots. On to the yards! Oh, and I'm feeling old today, it's my older son's 20th birthday. Where did the time go... I've removed the main yard braces and sheets since they totally blocked access to the deck and it became very difficult to fit rope coils on the pinrails and bulwark cleats. I really liked doing the rigging generally, but the coils were a real pain. I think we may have talked about this earlier, but I've seen some start the lines with the coils before the masts go up. I can't figure out how they ultimately got the lines run to the ultimate terminal points. Seems like either way, you have a tricky task at hand. Anyway, really nice job. I did order some cloth flags from BECC Model Accessories in the UK, so they'll get installed when they arrive. Meanwhile, no updates for the next 8 days.
