Hi Bill and welcome to Model Ship World. I am glad that you have started a build log for your Benjamin Latham model. There are several build log of this ship on MSW that you can refer to while building your model. Just click on the tag "benjamin w latham" under your title above and it will bring up all of the Benjamin Latham builds on MSW. With your experience on building R/C aircraft, you should have no problems building your Latham.

Welcome to Model Ship World Richard. I am glad to hear that you have restarted your Dallas and will be doing a build log on this kit. It is always nice when a previously started kit is restarted. I have a few of mine that I need to finish.- 16 replies

kit review Kit Review - HMS ENTERPRIZE (1774) by CAF MODELS
Ryland Craze replied to kljang's topic in REVIEWS: Model kits
Thank you for this excellent review of the Enterprise kit. I look forward to seeing a build log of this kit. It looks like Tom put in a lot of research in designing and manufacturing this kit. I wish him much success. -
The Revenue Cutter looks like a nice kit for your second build. You are taking the right approach as you advance your ship modeling skills. When you are making the hull station line templates, a good material to use is picture frame matting material that you can get from Michaels or any frame shop. It holds a good edge and is better than cardboard.

Beautiful work. Is your mandolin built from a kit or are you scratch building it?

Hi Robert and welcome to Model Ship World. I am glad that you decided to start a build log on your Syren. There are many Syren build logs on MSW that you can refer to and the kit's designer, Chuck Passaro, is a site administrator of MSW. If you have any questions about your build, I am sure you will quickly get answers from the members here. The Syren is one of my favorite kits and it has an excellent set of instructions that will help you build an exceptional model. Good luck on your build.

Nice job on your Chris-Craft model. You have accomplished something that a lot of first time wooden boat modelers do not do and that is you finished your model. Congratulations!

Welcome Uwe to Model Ship World. I echo the above comments about seeing the progress on your Jalouse. If you have any questions, you are in the right place to get answers. -
Very nice and detailed build log. You have made a good start on this model. I like the color combination. The extra care you took framing the model really paid off. This is definitely not a model for a beginner. You are well on your way to completing a beautiful model.
