  1. Another spectacular model and outstanding build log, BE! This is exactly what we've come to expect from your craftsmanship and creativity.
  2. Nice job, Glen. You're doing great work on this model. She's looking fine!
  3. Congratulations, closehaul! She's absolutely beautiful and your excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail is clearly on display now. The sleek lines of the Atlantic with her 3 masts are wonderful. It's one of my favorite models which just may have to be on my ever lengthening wish list. I look forward to your build of the America which is another sailing ship that I love as well. Have you decided which America model you will be building? Thank you for your kind words also. My Pen Duick has been on pause for far too long but I am determined to finish her.
  4. This looks like a great model choice for getting back into the hobby. I will enjoy following you along as you build it. Good luck!
  5. I'm amazed at how many orphans you actually are able to finish in such a short amount of time. I'm sure there will be plenty more given the speed at which you are able to build them.
  6. She's a beauty, Mike. Time for you to find another orphan to adopt!
  7. Let me know if you ever make to northern California. It's a great place but climate change is wreaking havoc on all of the beautiful, western USA. It's terribly sad. 😪 Don't give up on it if at all possible. The older I get, the more precious each moment seems! The Canadian Rockies are stunning. I've only hiked in the Lake Louise area and it was fantastic although hiking in grizzly bear country was a bit unsettling!
  8. The bike made it out ok except for some minor scrapes which actually do bother me. It's my dream bike which I got 2 years ago: a Project OneTrek Émonda SLR 9 with the SRAM AXS groupset. I love this bike so much! I've cracked ribs and injured cartilage several times before in mountain bike crashes years ago so, unfortunately, I know the drill. It takes a long time for these kind of injuries to heal. My brother-in-law is a retired physician and he gave me the go ahead to start riding moderately even though it's uncomfortable as long as the pain doesn't increase a lot. I've been going stir crazy so I feel like I just got bailed out of jail!
