Nice work Jim. Will be watching all the way. Keep the pictures coming. -
Now I have to wait until Monday, what are you trying to do to me. I love the work and the detail is outstanding. Keep the pictures are coming. On some of the small detail parts, like the one you said has 28 pieces, any way you could show how you made pieces like that in the future? The detail is what makes this build outstanding.

Jim Byrnes Model Machines
WackoWolf replied to Mahuna's topic in Modeling tools and Workshop Equipment
I have Jim's thickness sander and draw plate. I order a miter gage for the table saw, well when Jim got my order he notice the address was different and call me to make sure there wasn't a mistake. What I am trying to say is that everything that has been said in this tread is excellent praise about a man and his company that is to take care of customers an those that are not. Jim will go beyond what others would even think about to help someone. There is nowhere else that a person can go to get this kind of service. He is a man of his word and stands behind everything he does. There isn't enough words to describe him. This is just my honest option, I have nothing to do with the company, I like others is just a happy customer. -

And without a doubt it was worth the money and you got the free upgrade as a bonus. The money difference between the others is a real big difference, I know this for a fact. But as a old person since I have been using AutoCAD and SoildWors I am not into switching to something else dince I have already paid for what I have, just wish I had the chance to use others I have read about. Would have save a hell of a lot of money.

HMS Pandora 1779 in 3D
WackoWolf replied to ppddry's topic in CAD and 3D Modelling/Drafting Plans with Software
I agree, if you work on it everyday you can do it faster. I have been working a design for about 2 years plus and still not done yet LOL. -
With all the books that you have for help, now people here have your build as a guide for help.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
