I also have gotten these about a year and a half ago for my wood lathe, now that I got the Sherline not sure I will be using them again, but I know I will not get rid of them. Also got the set from Micro Mark, which I don't care for at all. It all comes down to you get what you pay for LOL.

I also am glad you made it back, and that you can re-do your log. To me your log is a set by step for the Victory. Even though I have most of the pictures, it will be nice to have the post and this time I will make sure I make a backup for myself.

Nice ideal. Way better than that stupid flare a frame piece of junk that you see at time. Glad I never bought one, thought about it way back when but at least that is not one of the dumb things that sit in a box in the corner LOL.

I have to agree with Mark. At times I use a drafting mechanical pencil which I do the same as Mark and shape it on a piece of paper.

Your getting there, a little at a time. Keep the post and pictures. About time someone made one of these. Seen to many PT 109 to last a life time.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
