  1. Bob I have run into the same problem occasionally and found that using a drawing program to trace manually better in the long run, than using the trace utility than the pain of correcting of all the points that have been mentioned in the conversion process. The added advantage of manually being that one can leave off irrelevant data (smudges etc) and work immediately in layers as you draw. But my drawing technology is older than what is available these days. Michael
  2. John it is great to see the hull out of the jig, the lines look really sweet, a fine delicate piece of workmanship. Michael
  3. Excellent work Johann, the method of preparing the strips is a good one that I will remember. Michael
  4. Hi Russ , do you have any contact with a jeweler? They have a roll mill. Some time ago I was at My jeweler friends place and ran a bunch of different copper wires through her roll mill and wound up with quite a few different coils of copper strips from the different wires enough in fact for a lifetime. Michael

  9. The clothes pins really illustrate just how small and amazing your rigging is. You are making an incredible model Dave. Michael
  10. Nenad you have a great sense of humour, your last entries made me laugh. :"Man, in which century you live?" I can just imagine the look on their face. The wheeled tool I know as a "ponce wheel", they are also used for doing large transfers where you lay tracing paper over a drawing and then ride the wheel along the lines then place the tracing paper over the new areas and then dust it with coloured chalk. when the paper is removed there are all the coloured dots to outline where the paint goes. And they do work really well on the copper plates. Michael
