Thank you, Brian. I wish I was that confident. Thank you, Pat. A lot of the weight will be lifted when she can get out of her chair by herself and not have to depend on a walker. Thank you, mcb. Thank you, Mark. Your prayers are needed more than anything else and it means the world to me that you would do so. Thank you, Rick. Thank you, Eric. Thank you, Andy. Maggie's coming home is the next phase in her recovery and an enormous amount of responsibility on myself. It's a daunting task knowing her recovery depends on my efforts. Thank you, Keith for the well wishes and and even more so for the laugh. There's not enough laughter that comes with this primary caregiver's job.

Andy, Andy, Andy. You're gonna have to reinstall the guard on that # 11. The frames are looking spiffy.

David, welcome to MSW. Were I you I'd wait till I absolutely had to have a stand mounted. In your journey you might discover a different stand that you like better. I'm not impressed with most stands provided by manufactures in their kits. They're usually cheap looking and take away from all the hard work of the builder. You can make a temporary stand out of almost anything till you're sure you want to commit to the stand provided.

Eberhard and Rick, thank you. The ICU department at the UM hospital was absolutely wonderful, I'm eternally grateful to the whole staff. It's a miracle I tell ya, a miracle. Maggie is to be released from the rehabilitation facility this next Tuesday! After only three weeks since suffering a critical stroke she gets to come home. A very sincerer thank you to all of you for your prayers and well wishes. I can't say 'thank you' enough. The next phase of me being the primary caregiver is going to be a challenge. I've prayed for the strength of a thousand Angels so that I'll be able to manage her needs. Again, thank you. Keith

Thank you, Tom. Thank you, Gary. We should hear this afternoon when the rehab facility expects Maggie to be released to come home. God's will be done.

Gary, thank you for your prayers. I'd been home about 15 minutes when she had her stroke, If it had happened the following day I wouldn't have gotten home till almost 11 PM. Maggie is doing better than can be expected as today marks her first week in rehabilitation. She is walking well with the aid of a walker and she's making some progress with her left fingers. Looking back on my stroke and recovery she's way ahead of my timeline which I think is due to her receiving tPA and my not receiving the clot buster. She's still having difficulty swallowing and they continue to use a gum based thickener for her liquid intake and it's play havoc with her digestive track. She told them that if they continued to use the thickener she was going to quit drinking. That's the girl I married!

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
