I got most of the interior done last night. I still have some minor detail work to do.
I also have about 70% of the heavy assembly done. My P-61 now looks like a plane.
I spent quite a bit of time filling and blending in the seams. I’m going to try and finish the interior this weekend, so I can close it up, along with finishing the rest of the assembly.
Hopefully, I’ll get a coat or two of paint on the model this weekend.

Thank you for the tips on the weights. I’ll have to be careful on the balancing.
I only got a little more done over the weekend. I dry brushed most of the interior an olive drab.

That would have been cool to meet the family of one of the engineers.

A little bit of paint will take right care of it. 👍

I have two prototypes. Next, they will get pounce wheeled to simulate the nail heads on the strapping. Eyebolts will then be installed. I will be using model railroad HO scale eyebolts from Tichy. I have 200 of them. Then I will paint the underside red and the top black prior to installing them. They will be fixed in place with steel pins to prevent breakage.

Thank you, I hope you do pick back up on your build. I have been enjoying mine. I will admit that the coppering was a bit tedious, but well worth it. 😀

Finished it.
I used model ship eyebolts to secure the HF antenna.
Overall, I’m happy with how it turned out.
Now to finish the Victory!
