If my assessment of him would be right: He would have changed the ways of naval warfare even further ... All new fascinating possibilities ... He would have fitted a sloup of war with a plane to drop the canon balls (right, I'll get back to my corner Mark)

Don(?) You can get the details and the drawings at www.ancre.fr (also in English), more specifically: https://ancre.fr/en/monographies-en/31-monographie-de-la-chaloupe-armee-en-guerre-1834.html Cheers

Those are some nice fiddly bits you have been working at, Greg. I wouldn't know if the aerials on the Dreadnought have been more fiddly tha these turrets and guns ... They look crisp though. Merry Christmas to you and your family Cheers

OC, If Denis can start the transfer, and it stops, it might be the software (it often is) Dennis, I have an EOS 400D, which I attach by means of the cable. However, I do not use the canon software to get the pictures from the camera to the PC. You can open explorer (press the windows key + e ) and you will see your camera attached as another disk. Browse to the map with the pictures and you can drag them to whatever place you want on your PC (Probably "Pictures" in the exporer window. Cheers (Sorry to high jack your log OC, back to you)

Nice work, Mark, You pulled it of, lovely colours of the wood. She starts to look like a real ship. Although, ... did they have aircraft carriers in those days ...

Greg, You must have had a splendid view on your last build, the Dreadnought ... a real beauty

Lovely work as you seem always to present, Ed. A pitty, though, that much of the brass and copper so often is hidden under the blackening ... (sounds like a fantasy curse)

Hmmm, normally we would say slightly oversized, with these tools it's largely undersized . Nice work on the wood, wth those tools

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
