  1. Very nice, especially on the scale you're working ...
  2. Nils, Glad to see you back at the drawing and building board ... You've created a very impressive fore mast, beautiful metalwork ... it shows you are eager to continue Cheers
  3. Druxey, I've been pondering on the sweep display ... if you put them on racks beside the boat, you will probably loose the floating impression, and the board may look cluttered ... so for me I would go for the tossed display ... it might even add to that upward floating view you're striving for ... Congrats on the book, that decision, in a way, was the easy part, now comes the hard part .. writing it down ... I do hope to add it to my diminishing shelve space ... Cheers
  4. Mark, It must be so confusing ... A French ship, caught by the English ... rebuild (partly) and only the French plans to consult, besides the references from another modeller, whom is an expert, but didn't live at the time of the changes either ... how I do not envy you ... but how courageous, and creative you are ... Cheers
  5. As long as you don't mix 'em up, Mario, it doesn't matter which side you start ...I'd say your plan is as good as any ... stick to t and you'll get there Cheers
  6. JesseLee, It's just another challenge, or if you wish ... learning curve. Not very difficult, but it can be sticky if you mess up ;-) Cheers
  7. Johann, When you finished your first boat, I thought can this be done any better ...and yes you did that with your second, after which I thought ... indeed the same question, and subsequently the same answer. It seems you surpass yourself with every build you make .... How will this one turn out ... so far you are on track, looking very crisp and flawless ... Cheers
  8. What surprised me, Geatan, is the difference between the images, not as much the colour - for that I expected, but for the red glow - however, the focus on the first seems much better than on the other two, which are with lighting oddly enough ...
  9. Steven, Did you ever take a look at the stern of the Royal Barge ...? (e.g. http://distributedresearch.net/blog/2012/05/29/the-queens-jubilee-royal-barge-gloriana )
  10. Nah, he's gonna use mirrors ... like on a bike!!! Dennis, You give her the look of a tall and slender lady ... marvelous
  11. Still at it, my friend. You've got some stamina!!! Looking very good ... I like the mold you are using to make them of equal size ... turning three at once will make it faster too. Looking forward to the first stain on them ... Keep it up ... you're still in my thoughts! Cheers
  12. Nenad, I agree with you ... glass is made to drink from, or to hold liquids ... 1 mm ... Would 1.5 mm wire be to thick ??? You do create wonderful things at odd hours of the day ... Cheers
  13. Re-do-dodely-dum-dum-do ... I thought them quite nice, Nenad ...
  14. Nigel, That's some sturdy looking door, looks like it can withstand a band of mutineers ...! Well thought of the spacer ... you can make life easier in the near future like that Cheers
  15. You just need a wheel, and you could have a test run, Igor. Looking sturdy those sails!! Cheers
  16. So that shell is approximately 12 x 8 mm ... and you still could make a plain visible relief, and a darn decent looking painted badge on it to, which is even smaller (8 x 4 mm???) It looks amazing ... knowing the scale it looks nearly impossible ... Wonderful craftsmanship, Druxey Cheers
  17. Even if it looks like a kit ... I see something which resembles more a scratch building, Mario. You've got your framing cut out for you ... do't mixup the bevels!!! Cheers
  18. If you don't get that one to your liking, mayby 'Fleece line' could help ... or for that matter mouseline (muslin?) ... - getting old, should have thought about these sooner(!) Cheers
  19. It's not the nr of plans he has in his head already, Nenad. it's that plus the nr of plans he can come up with ...! Looking good Dennis. You could make interior stairs to go to the cabin from the deck! Cheers
  20. Marvelous work, Igor ... those hoops look darn good from here - not to big(!!) Cheers
