    Stretch or stiff nets ... with stretch you can get more fish, it just takes a while to wheel it in ... You are probably sleeping outside, Kees ... at least I can imagine that. Those sumwings look pretty close to what they look like on that site. Good job. Do you need to finish the garlic bulbs before you may use the nets ...?

    Ayden, Good progress. You are quite right in your remark that the manufacturer could/should pay more attention to the grain of the visible wood in relation to other components. These kits are expensive enough for the parts to be 'in grain' with eachother. To me it seems as a very nice, and challenging kit to make!

    Mike, Do you want it to look nice, or do you want to build according to plan ... it seems that is the primary question to ask ... Ships weren't build with an open hull, so these "ugly" or "weird" constructions would not be seen. Furthermore, it looks like the powderroom just shows above the lowered floorplan. The top of which is in line with the other floor, which might be just the reason for the stepped flooring. Unfortunately, I'm no expert, and can't confirm it or any other possible reason to build it thus. Hope someone can give you a definite answer Cheers

    Jack, You seem to live in a just as hobyshop poor environment as I do ... some basic materials are available, but when you need the real deal, it takes either an age in travelling time, or you need to get it shipped, and shipments aren't JIT delivery! I've used the vallejo on the sea witch, but the kind for the airbrush, which works nice. I've got their metallic range for airbrush too, and will be trying that out one of these days. First get familiarised with the new H&S airbrush. Cheers

    Druxey, What's left unsaid ... I can't think about anything to be honest ... It has been a very educational and inspiring masterclass ... not just the building steps, but the details like painting the burr wood, the carvings, and the dolphins too.
