Congrats for finishing this really beautyful model. I looks a little bit like a model that was build 100 years ago. That is what I think makes the model really special

I am very sorry to write this, but I have to stop my build log for a longer period. My company send me to big infrastructure project to the Netherlands. I my apartment there I don't have the possibility to work with timber. When I am at home, I will spend the spare time with my wife and friends. The project is definitely not stopped and I will continue after the project. I the meantime I will work on some drawing projects which I have in my mind (for example a disposition of frames for the Anson from Alexander) and start with card modeling. I hope we will read us. Thanks to all members on MSW who helped me to reach my current stand in the project

"Lisa von Lübeck" is an interesting subject to build a model. In my opinion is it a shame, that they haven't published (I could not find any hints for this) why they come to the current solution for the 1:1 model (called replica). I think that the model had a lot of details where you can come to an other solution (for example the construction of the stern) The stern has a lot of an caravel and not of an early carack. In my opinion it's a general problem that also book authors don't give precise information about their sources. I will follow your research and build with great interest

Greg, this are very good news. The book will be then a very nice Christmas present. From the size, the model is an ideal choice for my favorite scale, 1/32.

Autsch! I hope that now everything works well again. I got last year a MacBook Air. Since this day I use my old PC only if I am drawing with Autocad.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
