  1. It's looking really good. Will you go the way with doubble and single frames, if we discussed at January?
  2. This are very good news. Scale Hardware was much cheaper than Kupfer in Germany
  3. Looks good. The redesign of the gun port sills is not necessary. The joints are very stable. If you want to make the joints stronger, you can use some tree nails
  4. Wow, your blocks are looking amazing
  5. 1/12 for a Swan Class Sloop would be a dream. 1/32 is the biggest scale which is possible for me. Fully rigged the model would be 5 feet long and around 3 feet height. I own Alexanders drawings for HMS Anson and think if it is possible to build a hull model with all frames in 1/32. But this is a project if I am retired because a lot of time and much more experience than I have is necessary.
  6. Mark, is ist right, that on French ships thy don't use the 3 But Shift or 4 But Shift System for the planking sheme? If they use it, you have to change the ends of the planks in your last picture.
  7. Per, I've had a nice hour reading through your build log. If you are finishe, you will have a really nice longboat model. Very well done and documented. I will definitly come back and read your log again, if I start building the boats for my sloop.
  8. I remember on your last 74gun ship. It was also a marvelous project. After starting my sloop in 1/32 I know, why you like the big scales.
  9. I love, to follow your log. It doesn't matter what kind of ship you build next, I will do it again
  10. Thanks for the Likes and nice comments
  11. It took a longer time to finish the construction of the deadwood.
  12. Very good video, Kenny. Your hints and -sorry to say- your small inaccuracies are very helpful for me, to avoid the same mistakes. Normally a model maker doesn't like to show these details. But these are the points which will help others. Thanks for sharing
  13. Hi Roger, exist a build log of your long boat? I am very interested to see your model.
  14. I agree with, Daniel. For a ship of the later 18th century, Druxey is right. For a dutch ship of the 17th century option d is also possible.
  15. Such figures in 54mm which is a classic scale for figures would be nice
  16. Daniel, I was in the Netherlands for a job last week. I know that I am a bit to late. If it is possible to get the Utrecht for the preorder price. I like to order a kit.
