  1. So, at the risk of going down in flames, I am going to ask the question that everybody is thinking loud without daring ask: How will this new project impact the production of ropes and blocks, which have in turn impacted the Pegasus Cross Section project? Of course, the Pegasus is the project I am concerned about..... Chuck, I really care about your health and success and I am concerned that you are spreading yourself too thin, sometimes. Yves
  2. Very impressive. Just put a motor, a RC set and you are good for the nearest lake. This work is amazing. Now, you need to get the equipment to do photo-etching on brass, and you are all set. Yves
  3. You should start sanding the front of the hull..... just to remove the boredom.... :-) Yves
  4. Very interesting model. Will you be placing some figures to represent the driver and a passenger? You sure went to great extents to build this jig. It seems like it is almost more work than the model itself. Yves
  5. Chuck, It has been pretty much a month since we got the last update on this exciting kit creation. Would you have any new development to share with us? Thanks in advance. Yves
  6. Dan, Your work is superb. I cannot wait to see Bismarck and Hood next to each other. Yves
  7. Beautiful work of a very controversial ship, that you are doing. I like how you are linking the various modules together, with machine screws. Do you think a kit would be in the order of possible? Would you mind to honestly post the approximate cost of such method of building, tooling left aside? Yves
  8. I really like the brass used for the sides of the superstructures. Once nicely painted, it will give a museum quality appearance to the model. Yves

  10. Chuck, Any new unfolding in the development of this dearly awaited kit? Yves
  11. You are going to start your own plastic printed company, if it goes on..... Congratulations. Yves
  12. Very interesting project. I was just at the Naval Academy Museum in Annapolis this past weekend and they have a beautiful model of the USS Maine. Yours may be even bigger, as most modern models do not have the scale clearly specified, in that museum. Yves
  13. Chuck, After this weekend (where I understand you will have a crowd of "guinea pigs" to test the assembly of the frames for the upcoming kit), can we expect some updates with pictures? I thank you in advance. Yves
  14. Oh my God....you are putting a Big Block V8 into that Traction Avant Citroen and turning it into a Hot Rod.... My brother who owns two of these cars (an 11CV and a 15CV) would be offended... Yves
  15. Great stuff. The instructions are going to be terrific too.... Very detailed. Yves
  16. Ciao Jack, I miss your updates on that lovely boat. I hope you are doing alright and will be back soon. Yves
  17. Dan, Are you going to re-spray the hull, to harmonize the colors? Yves
  18. Chuck, Thank you for detailing on the forum, your progress and ideas. I really love the modern and revolutionary way of building this cross-section. Obviously, you put a lot of thinking and energy into making it easy to realize even for neophytes. Kudos. I can't wait to see and get the final kit. Yves
  19. Hello Chuck, I was wondering if you have had any time, in your busy schedule, to make some progress on that future kit? I am sure there are a lot of people like me, hoping to read you soon. Sincerely, Yves
  20. Fantastic work as always. I suspect there is more brass than plastic in this model. Yves
  21. I would run to my hobby shop and get more wood to finish the planking. Your level of patience is commendable. Yves
  22. Not sure...I think he may be back to Plastic models...before long. For certain, doing ships in cards is a form of art which is rare and precious. Yves
  23. This is absolutely superb. I am waiting for the Cross-Section kit of the Pegasus from Chuck, and your pictures and beautiful build will be a source of inspiration for the kit. Congratulations on that fantastic museum piece. Yves
  24. Danny, This is incredible. What a work of art. I love the pictures with the plane hanging from the crane. I just cannot believe it is made of paper cards.... I have to say it is a frenzy and feast of Bismarcks between your model and the Trumpeter Build Log from Smorebutts. Thank you for allowing us to truly appreciate the beauty of card models. I knew the work of Doris and her classic sailboats but your model is outstanding. Any chance we can have a picture of you holding the ship? I really would appreciate a human reference next to the model. Thanks Yves
  25. This is not a plastic kit anymore....it is a brass model !!! Yves
